Whenever i encountered this kind of error, First thing ill do is to check if the HDD is detected in the BIOS followed by checking the boot sequence if the hdd is the priority.

I learned a trick to revive dead hard drives by putting them in a anti-static bag and put it in the freezer overnight then let them warm up for several hours put in a PC or Laptop and boot with a USB stick. It worked for me but it may not work every time.
@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
I've heard of that but never tried it. I'll have to keep that in mind. It would probably be a temporary fix at best for a platter drive, I can't imagine it would do anything for an SSD, but it doesn't cost anything to try it.

i like so much your videos, you help me being professional as well 😁 thanks. i have a question to Ask and i Hope i'll get the answer bcause i'm confused: Why does the SSD drive have a small storage size than the HDD drive but it's more expensive 😵
@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
SSDs are much faster than platter hard drives. They are more expensive to produce at this point in time. I speculate that some day, as the technology becomes more widespread and mass produced, SSDs will be cheaper than the obsolete technology. But that will be a little while yet.

@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
Sorry I didn't see this comment sooner, it's probably just for impact/jarring protection, it probably "peels" off like a rubber phone or tablet case would. Just don't force it, because you won't want to rip it, so you can put it back on the new drive.

so im thinking of doing this with my laptop but i have a question. when you redownload windows on the new drive, will it download the drivers with it?
@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
For the most part, Windows 10 is very good about recognizing all of the hardware in the system. It's not too much like the old days of XP. It will //probably// just recognize everything without needing to find drivers.

@@LowDoughTech Well I just build the pc so I want to install windows on it so I plug a external hard drive into the usb port to boot windows from (because I wasn’t able to put windows ISO file on a flash drive I use a external hard drive, the reason I couldn’t get the file on a flash drive was because of like something with FAT32) and than I get this message “reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key” I’m also not getting into the bios. Maybe I get this message because I try to boot windows form external hard drive instead of a flash drive

The if the M.2 drive isn't showing in bios, that's bad news; that's pretty indicative of device failure.

2:42. Okay so I did see my drive with windows drop down there with the same amount of storage used. What should I do to fix this?
@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
I see from your other comment that you're getting the system boot failure error, but if you can see the drive in Linux, that's good, it could mean that it's only logical corruption. If you're seeing that drive, before you do anything, see if you can mount it, and back up the important data from that drive. From there, see if you can boot from a Windows installer and do a repair install. If that doesn't work, you will probably need to format the faulty drive, and do a fresh install, and restore the files that you backed up. If the fresh install fails, the drive is probably physically hosed in some way, and you'll have to replace the drive and do a fresh windows install.
@flamingoxe59844 жыл бұрын
Low Dough Tech Thank you so much. When you say to mount the drive could you explain what that means? And also in Linux the drive shows a yellow triangle like this one ⚠️ instead of a free square 🟩. I’m assuming that I will be able to access the files still if I boot up my system with a windows stick. However if I am wrong about this or if the triangle is a problem could you correct me? Thank you and God bless you 😃
@LowDoughTech4 жыл бұрын
@@flamingoxe5984 In Linux from the search bar, type "Disks" this should give you an interface that will show all of the disks in the system. Click on the Windows disk, then under that, you should have what looks like a "Play button" to mount the disk. If the disk isn't completely hosed, it should mount with no problems. However, if the disk is shot, you may not be able to mount it, and the data on that disk will be lost.
@flamingoxe59844 жыл бұрын
