Thank you for this video. My Kia cerato 2013 shows the key light and the car won't start. Its push start button. Sometimes when it starts, it will switch off. Sometimes when it starts, you can drive and then while on speed or anywhere the key sign appears on the dashboard and the engine shuts down. After 2-3minutes of switching off the car, it will start and move again. This cycle can repeat many times a day or not at all. It is so frustrating, pls help me. I have been to at least 5 auto electrician in my city and no help in sight

So this isn’t a repair you want to wait on! First off, you’ll need to locate the crankshaft position sensor. This varies from one car to the next, but in most cars you’ll find it near the starter, between the engine and the transmission housing. Some cars have it on the front of the engine, requiring the removal of one or two serpentine belts. Once you’ve found its location (be sure you aren’t confusing it with the camshaft sensor!), you’ll want to do the following: Disconnect the negative battery terminal. The crankshaft position sensor is electrical, and you can hurt yourself and damage the car if you don’t. In some cars, you may need to remove the starter to access the crankshaft position sensor. This only applies to some makes and models. Unplug the sensor’s cable and make sure you keep the contacts on that cable clean. Hello @cesarhernandezbarraga, I hope the following assists you, this is quite a common concern as is due to an instrument cluster internal fault. The instrument cluster is also a control module and the gateway between the different speed networks on the car. When you first turn the ignition on the PATS runs through the code check of the key, the keycode is checked by the PCM which checks it with the instrument cluster, when the cluster fault is evident then the cluster can't confirm the code to the PCM so the PATS remains active, the red LED will flash to confirm this and the engine won't start. The PATS keycode is only checked at ignition on, if the cluster fault is evident while driving the car the immobiliser is already deactivated but as there is a fault the immobiliser LED will flash. The engine management warnings comes as the electronic throttle pedal signals go through the cluster to the engine management, as these signals are lost the PCM sets the engine systems fault warning and the engine usually loses power. Unfortunately there is no company who repairs these clusters yet, replacement is the only option, the new cluster will need to be programmed to the car and the PATS . I hope this helps but if I can assist further let me know and I'll reply as soon as I'm able to.

@Adollbaby1 What To Do With Micro Chipped Keys (most modern immobilizers) 1. Try different key. 2. Turn Ignition on and off 5-6 times. 3. Turn Ignition on for 5 minutes, turn off and retry. 4. Disconnect Battery for 5 minutes. 5. Disconnect Battery for 5 minutes while disconnected join positive (+) and negative (-) leads together, this will disperse any small electrical charge stored in electronics. 6. Disconnect Battery for 5 minutes and reconnect with ignition key in switch on position. What to Do with Remote Key Fobs 1. Check batteries in remote. 2. Press button on remote with batteries removed. 3. Disconnect Battery on car for 5 minutes. 4. Hold button down for a few seconds. 5. Hold both buttons down for a few seconds. 6. This warning light usually only comes on when the key isn’t recognized so you shouldn’t have to worry about this light coming on while you are already driving. If this happens, try taking the key out and reinserting it if you are having trouble getting your car started. If you are experiencing any troubles, check and verify that the key fob isn’t out of power.
