HOW TO fix Root Certificate Issue on Mac which expired on Sept 30th 2021

If you are like me who is using an older version of Mac OS X on any devices like iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air, you may have noticed that a LOT of websites are no longer working. This was the internet's big root certificate, IdenTrust DST Root CA X3, that expired on 30th September 2021. DONT CLICK THIS: bit.ly/3oYBSPT
Steps I followed to fix it:
1. Visited this website: letsencrypt.or...
Link to replacement ISRG Root X1 certificate here: letsencrypt.or...
2. Downloaded the Pem and install it following the steps shown
3. Once install of Root X1 is done, this should fix the problem.
Side Note:
Firefox apparently has its own stash of root certificates.
If Chrome or Safari won't let you access the Let's Encrypt website, but you have Firefox, try using/installing/updating that, then accessing the site via that route.
Errors seen on browsers due to this issue are these:
1. Your connection is not private
2. Warning: potential security risk ahead
3. Safari can't verify the identity of the website
