My Urban drift s006 scooter came with a broken rear fender and with the brake caliper rubbing the disc. Wasn't sure how to adjust it until I watched your video which was clear and concise. Thanks to helpful people like you everything in our world can be DIY instead of expensive shop repair.! Good job!

This sound started happening this morning after I went over a bump in the road. Seems that something got moved out of position on the rear break and this video shows clearly how to fix! Great work! thanks

What tools do you need and where can you buy them from
@Metallikettu4 жыл бұрын
You can hold the brake lever while the caliper is to loose to automatically center it to the disc itself. Just tighten the bolts while the lever is pressed. (If your disc isn't bent)
@escooterrider18344 жыл бұрын
Yes, that will work also. I just found that sometimes as you tightened the caliper and release the brake lever the space between the disc and the caliper becomes slightly uneven. Certainly an option :)

My allen key keeps rounding, which are you using
@Foxyboy-iv5cf3 жыл бұрын
Get a better set of allen key's. The reason they are rounding is you are buying cheap.

Nice idea. But the corect way is to losen that 2 screws aplay the brake and the caliper alines himself wicth the disc. By still presing the brake tighten the screws. And let go the brake. And woolla the kaliper and the brake pads are prefecly aline wich the brake disc. And when u let go the brake id shuld not rub aganst the disk anymore. Problem solwed.
@escooterrider18343 жыл бұрын
What you are suggesting is a viable option. However, in some cases it will not do the job, for example when the disc is not perfectly straight (I've tried that). Thanks for the comment!

Okay so i had this problem, one day after i bought it. The problem was not the front brake pads, but the fixed ones. You can adjust them with a 4mm key and a 5 mm one on the inside. My brake disc was warped and now looking to replace that disc. This is one way to fix it but i could not only be the front brake pad.

What if the screws have red Loctite on them

Try applying a bit of WD40 and then carefully attempt to loosen the screws

Worked great on my Gotrax. Gotrax makes pretty good scooters BUT trying to fix a flat is near impossible, I had to buy another at walmart and switch out tires and return the other one. After wasting money at gotrax for a new tubeless tire and the tools to ATTEMPT to put it on, failed miserably.
@jinasonvasquez55953 жыл бұрын
Or u can try pumping it with a better extension hose?

Slime has worked wonders for me. I also caught a flat and omg taking those tires off and the tube was hell but I did it (didn't even have right tools). I have since moved on to a Maike MK9 wuth big tires but same issues only thing is now when I catch a flat I pump green slime and it fixes and lasts a long time.

If u keep it rubbing for to long can it break the scooter?
@corzeyhall55003 жыл бұрын

@escooterrider18343 жыл бұрын
If you keep riding with the brakes rubbing, you will use up the brake pads quicker...once they are shot your braking ability will amount to nothing I'm afraid.
@josephc.52653 жыл бұрын
If you don't adjust it ASAP you're going to lose riding distance severely and you will wear out your brake pads prematurely!

I think this is lowering my range on my m365 it’s meant to do 20km but I’m only getting 14km because my back wheel is soo stiff
@escooterrider18343 жыл бұрын
It will definitely lower your range. It will also wear the disc and brake pads quicker.

You may need to replace the brake disc. Spin the rear wheel and see if the disc wobbles sideways, if so, it likely needs replacing.
