@chrisschafer32337 жыл бұрын
Yes. It made a pop noise when my wife turned the drum. I may also add that it is important to lay a towel around the sheet metal hole in the back of the dryer (or duct tape). I did slice up my arms a bit while intently trying to get that belt back on.

Thank you for the video - it covered all the needed steps! Of note - we have Samsung dryer model DV40J3000EW/A2 (this is slightly older & w/o the Timer display) - our access port via the back is MUCH smaller than yours! I wish Samsung would get a clue and have access from the bottom (like dryers used to back in the day) - Access to all the required parts via a huge open area on the bottom would be a repair godsend. Again, thanks for the video!

I have the dv42h5000ew A3, a samsung dryer, and I rotated the drum backwards for one revolution because my sheets had balled up, as this dryer has a tendancy to do, And when I turned it back on I heard a loud pop and the blower wasnt running and the drum wasnt turning. The machine is 2 years 4 months old at the time of this posting. I was able to take the top off and look and see the belt was not broken. Thanks to this video, I was able to look at the back dryer of the dryer and pull out the vent pipe to find out the belt had come off the pulley. Everything else seemed fine. Moral of the store: DONT TURN THE DRUM..Especially not backwards. The clearance is so tight!

Also a bit of advice, lay some sort of cloth down over the metal edges of the hole you are working through.
