Perfect, 3rd step worked. I opened with a plastic card from the SD card slot towards the sides until was opened. Removed battery held down pw button 60 secs to discharge it, then reconnected the battery and back in business. Thanks for the video

I found a way to turn it on, here me out, all you have to do is get a pair of scissors and then connect one end to the end on the power button ribbon cable then connect the other end directly over the 5 pins that the ribbon is suppose to cover, lastly place your finger over the first end and since your body is a conductor it creates a circuit which turns on the tablet. I used this method to turn on my galaxy tab s2 so i hope it works for you p.s don't hold the scissors there for more than 3 seconds unless you can seriously mess up the pins and things get pretty bad (im saying this bc i held it down for 5 seconds and immediately smelt smoke and a burning smell so be careful) also this fix is more for if you broke the power button's ribbon cable :) anyways I hope this helps

An alternate solution that worked for new Winnovo tablet that stopped working after 8 days, even with the battery at 100% charge, was to stick a straightened out Christmas ornament hook (or a straightened paper clip) in the tiny hole by the power button. With the tablet plugged in press the hook or paper clip in the hole until you hear a click, then hold it for 20 seconds. Unplug the tablet, then press the christmas ornament hook or the paper clip in the hole for another 20 seconds. Plug the tablet back in and press the power button. I found that solution from an online internet search. It was posted back in 2014 and worked for me. It seems to be another way to reset the battery and get it going again.

Hi. This is the second time my Samsung Tab A 2016 did not turn on after a full recharge. The Power On-Volume Combo worked! Thank you. But I was wondering why this this is happening.
