WOW! This is a man that knows his stuff! What a thorough video explaining how the pool pump and valves work. I went through numerous videos and none were as helpful as this one. Breaks down everything that a do-it-yourselfer like me needed. Very thorough in his explanation and shows you how things work and why throughout the video. I have never written a comment on youtube, but had to show my thanks on a pool problem that I had for several days and like I said, I had viewed numerous videos. I now have all of my valves properly labeled and know so much more about the workings of my pool. I can truly say after 10 years of being a pool owner I am confident in the operation of my pool. I will always look at Craig's videos in the future when I have other problems with my pool. THANK YOU CRAIG!!!

Extremely helpful video. So glad folks like Craig take the time to share their experience and wisdom. My brand new spa will not stay filled. There appears to be only 1 check valve on the spa return line, but nothing on the fill line. Could this be my issue?

If the spa still drains...then it needs a new seal? I wonder what is the typical cost for a repair like that.

When the spillover is robust, the water leaks under the coping and onto the pool deck. Is the top supposed to be water proof? It doesn’t seem to be designed to be.

One problem with your explanation of people liking their spa waterfall is that if you divert all the water to the spa and then to the pool that means the pool jets won’t push the debris on the surface towards the skimmer

In the video the waterfall from the spa behind him is pretty lame it should be more water coming out than there is
