I have the same check valve as your clients in video. Want to replace it with same kind. Do you have any brand recommendations? Thank you!

@@CarolNourse-c2f the one I probably find the best in my experience has been off. One of the reasons I like it is because you can see inside of it to see if there’s any debris obstructing flapper and it’s also serviceable by unscrewing the cover.

My pool equipment sits far away and about 5 feet above my pool. have to keep primiing because water keeps running back to pool then causing it not to be able to be on a set schedule because it needs to be primed after each schedule. This is a check valve problem right?

You might wanna have somebody come out and look at a way to put a check valve into your system so that doesn’t keep happening.

I have one of the bulb style amber colored check valves on the outfeed line from the heater. It’s clogged and the connections are cracked (18 years old). What’s the best course of action trying to get the old connection fittings off the PVC lines top and bottom? Mine are glued on permanent. Heat gun and loosen the glue? Cut the PVC at the connection point and use a new PVC coupler?
@PoolSchooler2 жыл бұрын
Typically in those situations you have to cut the PVC pipe and then reinstall a new check valve. I would highly recommend contacting a licensed, insured and bonded professional pool repair person to do that work for you. It’s worth the money.

At 61 years old I am new to the pool game. Beleive it or not. Every other video on youtube shows the typical modern Jandy type check valve. Eight screws and a clear top. This morning I located a very old solid white check valve like the brownish clear one in your video. I found some very small print embossed in the plastic "Check Valve". I wish i saw your video earlier. My pool leak has been a bit of a mystery until today.

Can't tell what brand is my valve but it looks identical to the one in the video. Anyone can help to find out the replacement brand?

@@jonathanquinonez4989 if you email me a picture of the check valve, I might be able to eyeball it for you. Kennypoolschool@gmail.com

Hi. Does it matter where the check valve is located? For example, before or after the pump? Thank you
@PoolSchooler10 ай бұрын
It can depending on what you're wanting the check valve to do and the direction of the flow.
@PoolSchooler10 ай бұрын
Basically you can put the check valve anywhere you want the water to flow in only one direction.

R.O.W. Custom Pools in Las Vegas wanted to charge me $450.00 to replace a check valve. I did it myself for about $20.00. Total ripoff.
