How to fix Spotlight Search results? Finder search not finding all files

This is a short tutorial showing to fix finder now showing all files in search results on mac os. This works also for spotlight search results if some files are not showing in search results on your mac.

It was so easy to search and find documents on a pc, then I come to mac and I can't find anything when I search finder. I thought I was just gonna have to live with terrible searches. Thanks, other attempts went over csrutil, mdutil and other terminal orders with disabling systemintegrity in recovery mode. That seemed to be a horror. Thanks for this elegant way.

Is there a way to set up a SHARED DRIVE for spotlight search on a Mac? I am able to spotlight search files in MyDrive but it won't work for a SHARED drive unfortunately.

Hi i have a pcloud drive installed and spotlight doesn’t works on it when i follow the steps once i place the drive on the privacy it move it there and then after 2 secs it is no longer there any ideas ?

If spotlight doesn't pop up, try disconnecting your external monitor and now press ⌘ + Space. Drag the search box to where you want and plug in the external monitor again.
