Another good way to drain power from the system is after you unplug it, turn it on while it is still unplugged. This should drain any voltage from the capacitors

Great advice Poli..yeah i have also encountered a bug when bouncing audio to sample..then having a pad clear itself after the bounce. I will try totaling unplugging the unit.

My pads are glitchin man and I remember noticing it before I did the 2.8 and it's still doing it after. Like when I hit a pad it's not always a solid consistent hit. I'm just getting started and trying to get it fine tuned. Not sure if there are pad settings other than velocity 🤔

I have to hard reset my live once in a while by holding the power button pushed in until it hard shuts down. My last prob was stuttering with glitch in audio and transport momentarily freezing. Nothing could fix it but hard reset fixed it. It might be doing same as battery drain trick. Thx

I just got an MPC live two and noticed that when saving with battery it takes forever it works a little better when it’s plugged in but when you save it save as and tell where to save try not to save your internal memory

@@PoliPopo oh i mean in general, for some reason when I turn it on it wont go to the start up menu for 2 to 3 minutes. I just installed the new firmware but it is still taking forever to startup. i am gonna try to just let the battery die completely and see if that does it.

@@PoliPopo just following up in case someone else has the same problem. I let the battery die to restart it, but it didnt do anything. I reloaded the firmware and that didnt work either. I decided to upload the 2.0.3 firmware and not it starts up in 15 seconds. I also tried to go up higher with the firmware and uploaded the 2.2.1 and the slow boot came back. I am gonna keep tryin though. thank you for the video and advice. If anyone reads this that fixed the problem, please reply. wish me luck!

I move around alot so it gets unplugged alot but still have some serious issues when the X is running as slave. Tried contacting Akai support but all they said was that they reported it and never heard anything about a fix. Their communication needs to be better so them killing their own forums makes me feel like they are afraid of peoples feedback...

@@PoliPopo Well if someone could reproduce the bug it would help me confirming its a software issue. You can do simple test for this. Make a simple sequence and put some Air effects on some tracks like the Air diff delay. Seems to be most noticable on that. Then just plug in midi from another device and run the X as a slave. It destroys the effect for me and when i try to manipulate the effect while its running it even results in a crash sometimes.

Yes on my sequencer I was trying to have my 32 bars clicked half Screenshot all turned back on and everything was erased and I did not have a chance to save it before

It's the only thing that works for me. But then It starts crashing again when I try to load any effect. Then it will hang in load screen again. Smh. I bought this thing used paid an extra $600 to replace logic board and still have issues. I would sell it ASAP if I didn't think someone would return it

I have my Mpc X has been showing error messages for the past couple of days now. Error: Specified configuration may not be supported by the device. Code: -71 Audio device error 71. Then you can't remove the message by pressing OK on the touch screen. It just freezes Do you have an idea what's going on wrong here.😢

Hello! I have it same in a high version of updates! Downgrade and as well have issues but no messages like code 71 or code … and by downgrade even more down still issues but other symptoms! Did you found solution!

@@BMU5 Okay first of all, I sent it off to Akai, who where very helpful and took their time looking into the problem, because i had various issues apart from that. They changed the Mainboard of my hardware and that fixed 98% of my problems. I have received after that rarely error issues but the if i get this "Specified configuration may not be supported by the device", i found out that as a Windows OS system unser, this happens because windows does not support more than one soundcard at the same time. So what I did was deactivate all other soundcard in the device manager in the system, including the Asio of the Akai Mpc X, because i mainly use the UAD Apollo quad Sound interface in the studio on my Windows 10 PC, and the UAD Apollo Twin USB on my Windows 10 Laptop , so this way when I use the Akai Mpc X in controller Mode with my DAW (Cubase pro 12) it works perfectly with no issues. When then switching back in standalone mode, it works great, and in worse case scenario if the error message occurs, it's best if the USB is disconnected from the PC, when using in stand alone mode. @@BMU5, i can't quite remember because it was also done on a special guarantee conditions terms agreement. But before you go that far, first explain again what exact issues you have, and secondly are you you using a Windows or Mac PC based System.

Yo man if you check my channel look at the glitch on my MPC, where it changes pitch on the programme edit screen drastically, I wish they got rid of that bug man it's painful when your in the creative zone... Thanks and Peace ✌️
