Wow dude. This was SO helpful, the 2.10 made me snatch up a MPC because I'm now able to use a Focusrite Clarett and Eventide H9000 (that unit is nuclear) as audio interfaces to record into it. This video helped me understand recording workflows in the MPC so much better (especially the point about assigning the empty input channel to resampling). You have a great explanation style. Peace.

So how exactly would you use the clarett and mpc together ? I’m a little confused how you explained it. Would they be hooked up together using usb? Or would you plug hardware into the clarett and record it into the mpc?
@7vinylsuite3 жыл бұрын
@@pRoblemTv The H9000 is an effects processor (up to 16 fx algorithms at same time) that can also be a 16 in/out USB audio interface. So I connect the H9000 via USB to the MPC One for use of its inputs, quality converters and FX. The only issue it has is it doesn't have monitor controls. So my Clarett has 8 analog inputs and 8 digital via ADAT- and also has great converters- When connecting the H9000 & Clarett via analog/digital audio cables- I can hear and isolate everything. Everything I do on the MPC can be recorded & heard with the Eventide FX- without touching the MPC's CPU for FX. It's similar to using any hardware plugin but on a standalone device instead of a DAW. I love this set up! Alternatively, I could also plug the Clarett to the MPC via USB if I don't want the FX. Hope that helps to give you an idea of how it works.

For someone like me that's been making beats for 25 years of my 34 years on earth. My least experience is with mixing and mixers I tended to just let other people do that part. Now I've got a USB mixer here it's not an expensive one but should I be connecting my monitor speakers to the XLR out or should I be using the control room out on my mixer? I always just like thr making music part, i always hated midi and mixing but now im trying to be more involved, i confuse myself 🤣
@jonathansoko108510 ай бұрын
My only real goal is to have it set up so I can easily sample my records, or from my phone, and possibly record a vocal track without having to change my cables. My entire life I would just go straight from the turntable to my MPC and have my speakers connected and then just do it that way and I always have someone else track it out and mix it, out of sight out of mind

Hey what about plugging up external drum machines like a emu sp1200 into a usb mixer and transferring the 8 outputs simultaneously in the mpc. Is that possible? I’m seeing mix information about it and don’t wanna make a blank purchase with a usb mixer

Went to the music shop today to buy MPC Live 2 I asked the manager - could there be an upgrade to this? He advised me to wait till September to buy as that’s when companies bring out there new gear. What do you think, worth waiting?

Hi mate, if I want to use my mpc and Behringer Xenyx usb mixer in a live situation, will the mpc remember and save the interface output settings for each song? Or do I have to route each time? Btw I haven’t bought the mixer yet

Great video as always. I have an soundcraft mtk22 mixer just like yours. I downloaded the update today to try it out as the audio interface. Everything worked but when I try and record back into the mpc I’m getting pops and crackle. When I tried it just using the internal audio from the mpc it was fine. Did you get any issues with it ? I bought a pretty good usb cable as I heard that might be the issue but doesn’t seem to have fixed the problem. Any ideas ?

I found an MPC Touch in a pawn shop (was a NI Mashine user) and wanted to try it. When sampling Into it I got crackling and static, I found I had to change the sample rate depending on the sample source.
@rufusjackson48363 жыл бұрын
@Poli Popo Peace bro. Have you ran across any bugs in 2.10. Whenever I load up a expansion pack my MPC X says your MPC X has recovered from an internal error then shut off and reboot and what I'm working is gone and I expansion packs disappears

Nice video, still confused the about the hype of USB mixers. Never needed one myself doe to exporting tracks out of MPC and into my Protools.
@PoliPopo3 жыл бұрын
Word but I do all mine in standalone so I don’t have to export anymore 💯 both ways work 💯
@pRoblemTv3 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a better work flow because you no longer have to record each track one at a time and don’t have to fine edit the wav files. Sometimes you lose the groove, it’s just way faster now
@pRoblemTv3 жыл бұрын
Coming in clutch 💪🏼 Are you plugging your hardware synths to the mpc via usb hub and then just routing the outs to your mixer? And then if you wanted you could just dump those stems to any daw right? Also if that’s true could you also plug the mixer into let’s say an Apollo interface and then record in to as well?
@andyboy29563 жыл бұрын
Bro can u upload the syths files as I can't download them from akai driving me crazy. the part I need to put on as card for my standalone mpc x

I have groups on my mixer so I go out of the groups into another channel. Hit sampler on the Mpc and select the new channels your groups are going into. If you don’t have groups you can always headphone jack out into the Mpc. I’ll definitely give it a look for sure
