This review is extremely fair to any neutral people. Only biased people would consider this as hidden agenda. This video clearly shows some of the issues of this camera and how to overcome that. For obvious reason, any Sony haters would love to see much-hyped issues like overheating, banding, buffer etc, on the other hand, Sony lovers would love to see this as the best camera in the world. Anyway, I don't need to learn how to read from you. Your last sentence in your first reply shows how judgemental you are. This is meaningless to argue with you.

I've been eying this vs getting a 5div but shoot in the FL sun a lot. Think the firmware fixed the overheating issue or just raised the temp sensor limit?

I put big blobs of Sugru Glue on all the buttons of my Sony A9, and pushed them down firmly. Now my buttons are all pushed down permanently, and I can't get the glue off. Did I push the glue down too hard, or were my blobs too big?

Nice video on " fixes" for the problems . But there would be no need for these " fixes " if the problems did not exist in the first place . For example, Sony acknowledges the overheating problems in the A9 and hence released an update to , let's say "suppress " the heat indicator. If that's Sony's solution the heating problem , why was it not in the initial software ? Why can't the Sony A9 , Sony A7R2 etc be flawless from the day one as Sony FS7 II ? They are both made by Sony, for crying out loud .

Issues are issues. You will never knew how frustrating it is when you had encountered once. I was once used a tamron 24-70 lens and it has focusing problem (which tony recommend because it have vc and cheaper than canon or nikon / also perceptual megapixel higher than others). Can you imagine in the middle of reception when you are about to take a group photo and the focusing stuck. I have to manually focus (which took a while; have to check if not focus) and exchange lens afterwards. I wouldn't trust a third party lens anymore and won't buy any other equipment when I doubt it. I rather have less specs in a camera than having more problems that other camera doesn't. So much trouble to concerns with... so much adjustments to do... Things you bought should just work as it is.. And sugru? That just doesn't solve anything.. you know what does? Buy D500.

This is an amazing camera, and if I had $10K to spend on a new system I would buy this in a heartbeat. EXCEPT that I haven't researched the Fuji XT-3 just yet. 30 FPS? That's amazing! Overkill for many applications, sure, but for a sports shooter that's unbelievable!

It's still overheating, the warning's threshold has been moved dramatically which will probably mean your camera will just shut down with very little notice of over heating. Because they've already warned you in the owners manual that it does overheat then they're covered.

Most reviewers (including us) haven't been able to make it overheat, even when trying. Some definitely have made it overheat. The vertical grip seems to cure it for those who have overheated it.

With the utmost respect, people with less than a 6 figure income cannot simply switch from Nikon, or Canon to another "system." For example, my 5Drs, is SLOW, but it produces great pix--- just not very quickly. All the Zeiss lens that fit Canon, work flawlessly. You cannot seriously even think about suggesting my meger income should now be spent on a Sony anything, because this Sony has some enviable qualities... If my pro needs included very fast sports activities ... I would not even have a 5Dsr... Also, please recall that when one buys a pro level camera, you are committed to that manufacturer's "system..." and the Camera becomes the "cheeeeepest" part of you entire kit. Think long and hard when you make a "system" camera buy....
