In Narvik, Norway they had one of those physical maps at the war museum. I think it was pretty much empty, but above it they had a projector which showed, on the map, the ships and who held what. That was epic. Also at another place in Norway I saw one which also served as a TV-table. They had placed the TV-remotes in the dock as if they were boats. Finally there's one in Kiruna, Sweden which has a huge lump underneath, meant to show the size of the ore vein under the city. It's also of note because they're moving the city as we speak, but that map was from before.

0:35 the reason Michigan has that was because back in the early 18th centruy there was a territorial dispute between Michigan and Ohio over the Toledo Strip that got violent. In order to stop that dispute, the federal government offered a compromise where Ohio got the strip and Michigan got the other peninsula which at the time was part of the Wisconsin *territory*.

Long Island was settled by Connecticut in the 1600s then the Duke of York took it along with a few towns near Greenwich and made it part of New York. The UP of Michigan was given to Michigan in compensation for giving up their claim to Toledo Ohio. The "boot" of Missouri was originally given to Arkansas but the man who owned the entire space/plantation at the time wanted to be part of Missouri instead so they redrew the border.

(9:20) Please do, historical currencies, and how its naively written too. One interesting thing is that Germany used mark before, with the symbol "50 DM" and Austria used shilling, with the symbol "S 50". So now that both are using euro, they both use the same format as before, so Germany uses "50 €" and Austria uses "€ 50". The spaces are important.

For the fuel map you there are two values that need to be converted. 1. Liters to Gallons (1 Gallon = 3.79 Liters) AND Euros to Dollars (1 Euro = $1.10) So to Solve using Germany: 1.34 L = .35 Gallons 1.34 E = $1.58 So its $1.58 for .35 Gallons

For those who don't know : - Cheese is just rotten milk - Blue cheese is a thing, it's usually pretty strong so we tend to make foreigners try something less strong. The "blue" comes from blue/grey/green spots on the cheese which happen to be mold.
