Kalim, this is excellent. Practical, clear and understandable. Where I live, rather than fix something, the solution is to throw the whole unit out and get another. That is wasteful, expensive, and frustrating situation to deal with. Your video is so helpful as you explain and show how to do the repair start to finish. Great job.

I repair appliances, fitness equipment, mini splits, TVs, PCBs and pretty much anything I can get my hands in Canada. I am unique in my industry (in Canada) because I always try to repair parts instead of replacing them. Most technicians in Canada are what we call "Part Changers". I am very impressed with your knowledge and attention to detail. I'd love to share knowledge with you someday.

Would you be willing to fix a membrane switch remote control for me for a product that isn’t supported anymore by the manufacturer?

Thank you for this very useful and informative video. I always enjoy watching videos from especially Pakistan and India regarding repairs and reusing items because a lot of the videos show just how resourceful people in these places are at making the most from often the little they may have and the ingenious solutions used to accomplish repairs. Believe it or not, may of us even in economically more advantaged countries still believe in trying to repair or refurbish things rather than just throwing them away and replacing with new items. You have probably seen "The Post Apocalyptic Inventors" channel where he often discusses how wasteful the throw away mentality has become in many parts of the world. Anyway, keep up the great work.

Thank you for taking the time to create and post this video. I was particularly interested in the switches you used and how you mounted them. It's very clever to use a surface-mount switch and strap it from behind. I searched and searched for a panel-mount switch that was shallow enough for our treadmill (the back side needs to be 4mm or less, and there are none to be found). I have an electrical engineering degree, so the wiring is simple for me, but physically mounting the switches had me baffled. Thank you - you helped me so much!! If you get a chance, can you please post what switches you are using that have worked for you?
