How to Fix Trigger & Bumper Buttons on Xbox Controller | LT RT RB LB Shoulder Sticking Stuck Repair

If you have a modern Xbox controller (Xbox One, Series X or S) you may be experiencing issues with the LT, RT, RB, and LB buttons, such as not registering a press, stuck in down position (jammed), stuck in up position, one button activates the other, too easily activates, activates on it’s own, loose button, makes a noise, limited bounce, goes to 100% to easily, never reaches 100%. A detailed and handy guide. Was able to get all 3 covers off and count figure out how to get better access to the bumper. Your video helped with that. The issue I had was the RB rubbing against the RT. When the trigger was even slightly pressed, the RB would pop put and work fine. Ended up sticking a very tiny piece of tape between the two to reduce friction, and it worked.

fixed my RT! i had to take it apart but only the first pannel you removed. some sticky black stuff was all over wherw the trigger makes contact when pressed. cleaned it up with alcohol! it works!! this was a brand new out of the box controller so THANK YOU SO MUCH! i will recommend this vid to others, too! thank youuu!!!!

7:03 Easily this segment was such a big help! My right trigger had it to where it pressed but it felt different/broken. Found out that the foam pad was misaligned, not even missing, and was able to fix it! Thanks again man!

Thanks! My left bumper stopped working. I got down to the last step, it was surprisingly easy with your instructions. Turns out the plastic tip that connects the bumper to the white circular little post was loose, it snapped off when touched. Ordered a new part for $10 for 1 day shipping with Amazon and fixed it in 5 minutes. Much appreciated!

Just saved me £50 buying a new one, my LB button wasn't working, turned out the little plastic sharp bit that presses the button snapped off, I found it and superglued it back on and it works a charm. I used a cork board push pin to poke into the trigger pin, to release the trigger and spring assembly. Not as tricky as it looks really. Great video and helped out a lot, thanks

The padding that the trigger strikes is compresses quite a but when the trigger strikes it and that's causing the trigger to feel "sticky" what would you recommend for that? I don't play rough and it hasn't been dropped much, but my floor is this thin line of felt that feels like bare concrete to walk on, and for any dropped item

leaving out one thing actually. My right triggers used to jam in a bit after pressing fully. The trigger acually stucks against the backbody of the controller, looking like the trigger (or the machnism) deformed since it gets not just a down push, but a sideways push as well obviously. The wear is even noticable on the trigger's inner side. Any suggestions? I am even thinking of cutting out the the part og the housing where the trigger leans at...
