I would recommend anyone to not get the controller. It’s great but there are so many issues. I wanted to just map on of the paddles to screenshot and then hold for recording a clip. Can’t do it. Also can’t dim the light to turn off. And also I’ve had sticky triggers twice. They need to make a series 3 and make it not have this many issues.

Thanks a lot man, I couldn’t figure out how to get that rod out without damaging the plastic and when looked online I couldn’t find any “how to” or “guides” how to get it out, not even on IFixIt, then I found your video and with your help I managed to get the rod out and replaced my broken trigger with a new one, my controller is now working! Thanks so much for this, seems there was some bit of dust or grit behind my left trigger that was forcing it to be stuck on. A bit of cardboard did the trick. I didn't even need to buy tools to open it up!

Great video I didn’t have any pliers so I used some old crappy tweezers and it did the job came it really quick just need to buy a spring for it now

Any possibility to fix mechanical deadzone? I'm having a hard time setting it up to work on lowest sensitivity, the pad doesn't register clicks consistently and I don't really want to delve into software adjustments, as it''s only a workaround.

I clean mine very well is a new controller i just open to see if something bad , but , the problem is only in the 3 short mode , is not reading properly only when i bend a little bit the LT , but if press normal without bend , is not reading , in the other modes read perfectly

There's also a switch on the back that makes the button stuck, check if it was inadvertently pressed

Thanks for the video. My LT button registered 1.0 on the first two levels of the hair-trigger lock but 0 = no response for the last one. Is there any way to fix it?

I haven't done that before, but I suggest you clean the areas when the paddles connect to the controller. Go inside if needed and clean them from the inside.
