How to fix UnrealCEFSubProcess not closing or cant end process (Avast/AVG)

Thanks so much. I had this issue for ages and just thought that it was a trojan. I tried everything to remove it but it wouldn't close. It wasn't a trojan, although I know that it can be. You fixed my issue and you were the only one who could :)

Thank you so much! I tried uninstall and reinstalling the game before but now just realised it was multiple UnrealCEFSubProcess taking my CPU usage to 100%. It wasn't just causing Valorant to lag but also lags everything (my desktop, chrome). Before knowing this solution, I kept having to leave mid game because it was unplayable, and then getting bans from Riot for it -.-". Riot really needs to fix this, I'm sure this is happening to way more people than we can imagine.

my avast looks different to yours and it doesn't have the explore button so i cant access the file shield, i can only turn it on and off. I need help

Unfortunately, since I dont know what version you have, I can't help a whole lot, but you could try "how to add file exception in" then put I. You avast version. I use the free version.

Nah Bro i still got the problem...i heard it was problem with AVG so i deainstalled it and bought Avast only for Valo...i still got like 4 Times this stupid thing which makes my CPU on 100% maybe there is no way and just quit Valo its unbelieveble...

Try playing with no anti-virus and see if it still happens

if its still duplicating and causing the issue then some form of antivirus is most likely still the issue, unfortunately I cannot troubleshoot your pc further.

It's cause by the antivirus , then best suggestion is to verify you did it correctly, some people have more than 1 antivirus, unfortunately I can't help you really from here beyond this video. but its shown that its the antivirus that causes this problem. you could disable it while you play Valorant

If it's added to the file exception list on your avast it should close when the game closes, I wouldn't be able to tell you if you did it right or not sadly,

it still doesnt work for me, ive tried multiple videos and nothing works and unrealcefsubprocess keeps popping up when i open valorant

The program has to run for valorant to work, If it doesn't close when the game closes, that's what this is for. It's a required process for unreal to work.

@horsuKo if it's still open after you close valorant, then you may not have added to the exclusion list correctly, You could try Restart your pc Turn off your anti-virus completely Run valorant Close valorant after a match See if it's still open then You may have more than one av running at the same time Sadly since I can't do anything from here, I can only give suggestions If it closes while you antivirus(s) are off then it wasn't added to the list correctly Sadly this is all I can do to help

@@KahMehKahZeh Unreal engine runs with other games (not Valo) and they also have skin content that can be bought. Is it a new game development company and they made a mistake somewhere with their code? It just doesnt make sense to me. I saw somewhere that people camoflage their adware/malware as this file and even hide it in the same folder that this actual valo component is in. Its bloody scary thats what it is.

I didnt mean to thumb up that comment, if you didnt make it an exception Valorant CAN'T run, you may have accidently blocked it entirely in your antivirus (blacklisted)
