Thank you!! I'd updated my graphics card driver before starting today's video but didn't put 2 and 2 together. This fixed my problem in 2 minutes and I'm back to editing!

there is no thumbnail or video preview in timeline, there are files without thumbnail no image, even after following this! yesterday it was ok but today since i switched ON pc there is no video image! im new to video editing

Having same problem... nothing worked. And it was working fine then it just didn't anymore. I suspect windows update.

@@Frank.Goncalves no its not update issue, just try different options i forgot how solved it but i kept trying, rest assured that solution is within DR interface! ☺️ just try different options! if i remember i will update you!

@@Suffernama-1 Thanks. I got it now. I had to unistall the GPU drivers using DDU and install Radeon drivers again.

This issue only started roughly about two weeks ago.. It's interesting how many other people have have this problem this is the only video I have found that seems to have other people who have the same issue as me.. Maybe it is definitely a software problem within DaVinci resolve

Hi do you have any idea of what is happening with me ? So the situation is looking like that: i use media player ( i’ve try everything tho ) but when i import my videos to DaVinci there is no video but inly audio, i’ve try everything that i can find in you tube but there is no result. My video is not showing in the viewer and it doesn't show on the timeline when you expand it it just shows that there is a file there but it doesn't show any imagery whatsoever. The only thing I have recently done on my computer is unplug the DaVinci resolve keyboard and I have recently installed Oculus vr headset absolutely nothing shows in the viewer anymore
