How to Fix VW Polo Blower Resistor

Hello, hi everyone! If you've been experiencing ventilation issues in your VW Polo, it might be due to a failing ventilator resistor. In this video, I tackle the problem by replacing it with a spare part I purchased. The symptoms were clear - no response when adjusting the heater from positions 1 to 3, and only a blast of air at the highest setting.
I guide you through the process step by step. We start by unscrewing the holder, removing three screws at the top, three at the bottom, and a few surprises under a plastic cover. Armed with T20 and T15 screwdrivers, we navigate through the dismantling process, leaving the airbag untouched.
Once the handglove is removed, we locate the ventilator and identify the heat resistor nestled deep within. Removing it requires some finesse, including detaching cables for better access. I share a useful tip on how to ease the removal process.
After successfully pulling out the old resistor, we compare it with the new one - same brand, same expectations. I express my skepticism about whether this small component could have been the culprit.
Installing the new resistor involves twisting, pressing, and securing it back in place. I skip the screwing part, but emphasize the importance of securing the glove holder, plastic cover, and additional screws at the bottom.
