How to fix Xbox one wireless hardware problem and disassembly (part 1)

In this video I go over how to disassemble the xbox one original model, in order to fix/replace the wireless card and it's antenna.
This will help you if you are having issues with;
-Wireless hardware issues
-Your wireless device from your xbox not conecting to your controllers or wireless devices or network
-Or just simply wanting to get inside to mod or clean the inside of your console

Just wanted to say thanks for the video, yours is the only one I was able to find that went into how to remove the antenna cable from the teeth grips, all the other videos I found assumed your new cable came with them too or would just say remove the cable from the metal clip without saying how. It's so tiny I didn't realize when looking at it that it was teeth grips until I saw your video.

Is this the same as fixing the internal wifi connection?

Darrell Johnson Yes, the wifi card handles all of the consoles’ wireless connections (i.e. to routers, controllers etc) and the antenna just extends the card’s range past roughly 1metre or so.

nice video, but little confused now, since u say i need a T9 screwdriver and web says i just need T7 and T8 😅 so idk.. should i just buy a set?.. realy annoyed rn, cuz i got the xbox open but cant unscrew anny screws😂😂.. uff

A T9 and T8 worked for me, but maybe if your xbox one is an "S" or "X" model (i.e. not the base model) maybe they used different sized screws...? Hard to say as I only have the base model but if it's not too expensive buy a set yeah. The danger with using a screwdriver that's too small is that you can damage and wear away the inside edges of the screw and with too much wear they can become impossible to remove or insert so just be careful 👍

Hey 👋 once again having summ trubble😅, got it alll replaced now, also took the chance to dust off the inside a bit.. but now i cant get the top part back on to the xbox again :c.. its so fiddly.. when i snap in the front part first, i cant get it over the back and if i snap the back, cant get the front part in.. realy frustrates me 😅, got anny tips?

my controller keeps disconnecting and I have replaced the rf board and wifi card 😭

Where do I order my card from for my Xbox 1s. I got 400 mbps and my WiFi be saying my Xbox is connected to it but when I get online it lags me out and disconnect without me doing it. Sometimes it works for a couple hrs but it always disconnects me

I would however check to make sure that the issues you're having with the console aren't just network issues rather than replacing the wireless card right away, as usually the wireless card would only need replacing if you can't connect to your router or any wireless access point at all, or if the wireless access points won't even come up on the list when you try to set up your xbox's network, when you know it should (or even if you can't even connect your wireless controllers at all either/also). But yeah I'd just make sure that there isn't anything you can do in the network setup before gutting your console and replacing the card, by all means buy a card ready to hand just in case if you like though 👍 Also, one final point, the xbox one s will be slightly different internally when you take it apart from this video (as this is just the regular base xbox one), unfortunately I don't own a one S so just take it apart with caution if you do.

The wire actually came out of the little metal casing at the end and my headset and my remote constantly keep losing sync. Should I just get a whole new card and cord or just the entena?
