I'm not a cosmetologist and I've done my hair for a while since I hate social interaction during hair stuff. You're so smart to wait a week to wash your hair since the oils will protect your shaft better. I'm definitely doing this when I bleach my roots if I can find someone to help me with the back.

Correct, as a fellow hair dresser... you need to lift your hair further if the hair can withstand being bleached again. When you’re trying to match your level 12 ends to a 8-9 level root the only way round it is to use a level 8 ash toner all over the hair to tone down the ends which would make you feel so much darker or lift the root again to match the ends. I’m so shocked as to why the hair stylist allowed you to leave without offering you to come back for her to bleach it another time. Also I’m not being rude I’m just saying this for other who need help in this situation, but you did an amazing job xxx

I love your hair vids. As far as diy hair coloring goes, you definitely do a waaaaay better job with your hair than like 99% of others on yt. Your hair isnt dead, which is amazing since its so white, and Im assuming you did a good job of not overlapping the bleach since your hair is as long as it is and not lookin like noodles. Props to you. The only hair color diy-er that doesnt make me cringe! Youre killin it. ♡

Nice work Emily 👏🏻 💚 I do this to my hair too! Recently I switched it up to a silver conditioner and a purple shampoo. I applied my purple shampoo first on dry hair then let it sit. Then took my silver conditioner, mixed it with water in a spray bottle and saturated on top of the shampoo. Then I lathered it all in together on my head. Let it sit about 20min and when I rinsed it was beautiful. I'm platinum with violet tips right now and I wanted a pastel blend. And this remedy helped my yellow roots and added a metallic pastel violet tint blending down to my darker tips. I love it so so much!
