I have had 3 total Delta Pro's that have FAILED at this point. I purchased 2 units and one failed right away. Ecoflow was great with the warranty and all but these fookers are heavy. Their elderly customers are screwed. Then my second DP failed....Not wanting to have my backup down during troubled times...I fixed it myself. Then the gawd dayum replacement failed! After a back n forth with Ecoflow about their BS....and threats of voiding my warranty....I fixed this one too. There is a real issue here NO ONE talks about. It's an easy fix for a DYI'er but it is some of the cheapest sheit I have ever seen in such a great product.

I've heard of a couple of failures, but I had no idea it was this common of a problem. Eco Flow should issue some type of inspection and prevention method, S/N of problem units, or service bulletin describing the cause and the fix.

Same issue. I fixed it by removing the xt60i and have the female connector on the outside of the ecoflow. Used a Dremel widen the port hole a little bigger fed the orange connector back in. The female connector hangs outside. I can still connect to a car or PV with the original parts.

Tested my brand new Delta Pro yesterday and the solar panels cranked the input wattage well into the 350s, BUT.... today's testing, in even stronger direct sunlight (i.e. 11am to noon instead of 4-5pm) had the display going all over the map, until all I had on the unit's display were DASHES (- - - -) and a stated charging time of 11 hours (rather than 1-2). What gives? No amount of unplugging, checking the connectors, etc. helped. And also, my EF app shows wildly different numbers from those on the panel (often 65W, then 245W, then 70W, then 128W, you get the idea). Thought I knew stuff!!

Sir, hope all is well. I have a question about the Delta Pro and charging. First, let me say you have guided me thru some stuff I surely would have 'let the smoke out of' so thank you! How would the Ecoflow charge with the car alternator charger connected to one of the ports in the back and the Smart generator plugged into the other? That would give me the benefits of the generator AND any 12 or 24 volt source....right?

Just to clarify one thing first, you're talking about using the Delta Pro without being connected to a Smart Home Panel right? Bottom line, yes, you should be able to "mix and match" DC and AC charging with the Delta Pro by connecting both the smart generator and either a solar panel array or the Alternator charger to the XT60i input. You may need to make sure you have the settings in the EF app correct so that it utilizes the smart generator (I believe default is 0-100%).

@@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc No Smart Panel. Its on a Smart Hub which I have wired into my 200A panel with an interlock and an alert device when the Grid comes back up. I am working to address several possible needs.....even going mobile with it. I can have it all down and packed up in a couple of hrs....much faster with help. No permits! No sheit from the MAN. My system has elements of what you have done. As long as I can DC power that Delta Pros like I am set. The more sources the better. So with the Alternator Car Charger I at the very least I should be able to suck the life out of any 12v or 24V battery.....within reason🤣 They say they have made it for van life and I see very clearly a situation where someone would be using their Delta Pro for their major power source. When stopped, they should be able to connect their solar panels using the built in solar input. And connect their Smart Dual Fuel Generator to Expansion Port #1 on the rear of the Delta Pro. This allows DC charging from solar and the generator at the same time. This is important because the AC inverter will not operate while charging on AC; a non Ecoflow Inverter generator. In this example I KNOW there will be a storage battery.....other than the primary starting battery. The thing that makes this device so sweet is that is will also charge the battery it is connected to. I think that it should work on Expansion Port #2 along side the generator for they are both Ecoflow products and its output is DC to the Delta Pro; with the optional Smart Generator Plug. Word to the wise.....if folks have the Delta Pro...you better get multiples of these plugs because they'll be a single point of failure and Ecoflow is moving on to new stuff. SO if it is connected to the DC power of the vehicle it will discharge and charge a 12V or 24V battery. At the same time....which is freakin awesome if it works.😁 If not, I can swap out what i use. My Delta Pro's feed my house 240V at 30A. Each will have a Dual Fuel Smart Generator and a Alternator Car Charger. The generator on propane does 1600W and the Car Charger does 800W and around 800W of solar on a good day. Alternately, if the Delta Pro only allows one to be connected at the time, connecting the Car Charger alone at 800W....not perfect but it allows me to beg, steal, or borrow any 12V or 24V battery if the SHTF🤠🤠Feeding it into my system and never having to shut down the Queens' Air Conditioner😉😉 The things we do to keep peace in the Kingdom! 🤣🤣As long as the specs are within range. We'll See! It's on the way....along with my extra Smart Generator plugs and 2 24V 100Ah battery. If it works like I think I will have some really nice n fat 24V batteries charged up and ready to go. Rather than the Delta Pro Extra Battery. Although, if the Extra Battery is all that will operate on Expansion Port #2 along with something else, then I will also buy the Ecoflow batteries if the price comes down a bit....to dang expensive for what ya get. I will let you know. May take sum pics too.

So, not sure what the fix was. The xt60i came partially or completely unplugged internally and you simply opened the DP and, using your fingers, you pressed the connector back together? That's it? Is that a permanent solution? Thanks.
@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc 4 ай бұрын
Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear on the issue. There is a bracket that fixes the Xt60i connector to the case, in my situations the bottom screw had apparently come out (which how does that happen?) so the bracket wasn't firmly pressing it against the case at the bottom and you couldn't plug in the external XT60 male connector. There's a number of fixes you could do: 1. Fish out the screw and secure the bracket again 2. Use an adhesive to seal the bracket against DP case (this is the path I took) 3. Replace the XT60 connector with a longer cable that you thread through the back case and have it dangle out which means it will always be supported when you plug it in (you can hold both sides of the connector with your hands).

@@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Okay, I see now. Thank you for the explanation - It wasn't originally glued on, it had a mounting bracket with screws. Got it. Can we clear this part up, I'm aware that the 60 has some of the same capabilities as the 60i. But, for clarification, when you speak of the connector, or the cable, in any configuration related to this solar input issue, are you speaking of XT60 or XT60i? Thank you for your time.
@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc 4 ай бұрын
Yes, In any configuration with the Delta Pro, you will want to use an XT60i connector specifically with the center pinned to the negative side in order to consistently unlock the full draw of the Delta Pro. If you use an XT60 or and XT60i that doesn't have it's center pinned to the negative, it likely will work for your solar arrays to unlock the full draw of 15ish amps but on occasion and if you try to use it with an external battery bank that has a constant voltage, it will think it is is a car source and limit the draw to 7 amps. Hope that helps clarify.

I only have one comment. Dump the Delta Pros and get the Delta Pro Ultras. The DPU’s are a quantum leap above the DP’s. All the issues you read about for the DP’s are gone with the DPU’s. Period!

You're not wrong. The Delta Pro Ultra is a massive upgrade. Unfortunately, its not so easy to just "dump" the Delta Pros unless you want to just completely waste money that many have already invested.

@@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc that is true. I still have my DP’s (my replacement ones after the first two failed). I only use them as a backup energy source to recharge the DPU’s. Thanks to your KZbin video, I use the DP’s to power SMPS units so I can charge the DPU’s through the solar inputs while the DPU’s are powering my house via the 50A hub.

I would change brands before I would reward a company by letting them upsell me from their garbage product. I have two DP and so far no problems. The DP's came out of the starting gate with no reported issues. Let's give it a year or two on the Ultras and see how they hold up before tossing out those DP;s. You may be glad you did.

Only time will tell. hopefully we don't see any of the DPU's smoking like the Delta Pro's but again, only time will tell......
