Great video. Honestly, I was about to break the thing down to find the problem and this video reminded me that I had just installed an insinkerater and I hadn't punched the washer drain plug out. 5 minute fix versus an unproductive night of cursing and trouble shooting

Can i put a little draino in it? Which I did. Ya they make it look so easy in commercials but once it goes through a few years of grease, oil, grime, chunks of whatever the filter is suppose to catch ,soap , scale or buildup from hardwater and everything mucks up in the drain hose, your shit outta luck. Then it turns into a few hours job, unscrewing it , wires, pulling it out, trying to get at the main hose line, ect ect ect .....bullshit.

So, the dishwasher is 11 months old and sometimes it won't drain. I recently had drains snaked and am confident a backup is not the cause. The problem is interesting... the dishwasher cycles normally but doesn't drain most of the water after the final rinse. If I start the dishwasher, it begins to fill with water. If I cancel the cycle then the dishwasher drains. 100% of the time. About 50% of the time it doesn't drain after the final rinse. When going through the sequence described above to drain the dishwasher, one time I decided not to cancel the cycle. Water began leaking out onto the floor. I tried repeating that but the second time it didn't happen. If I pull the float up I hear the "click" when it is raised. If I place something underneath it the washer won't fill at all. Between these two problems I'm tempted to just buy something else. Last dishwasher was old when I moved in, lasted another ten years. I only replaced it because I was replacing other appliances. This one makes it 11 months. Thinking about replacing with a Bosch if I can't get this fixed without forking out money.

Hi there! To drain your unit, we recommend the following: - Ensure that the knockout plug has been removed from inside the food waste disposer inlet. - Make sure the drain hose is not kinked. Ensure the cycle is complete, not in pause status. - Check that the glass trap or filter is maintained and installed properly with no clogs. Visit the Care and Cleaning section of your Owner’s Manual for more information regarding how to empty the glass trap or filter.For additional help, refer to your Owner’s Manual. ... there's likely something blocking the impeller from spinning (the propeller inside the drain pump)... likely glass that got past the filter. Look for ANY other video than this one!

I'm beside myself jaw agape at how ridiculously uninformative this video is. I'm assuming most problems people are having with dishes not drying are not related to how the dishwasher is loaded, but because it is not heating. In my case, I've replaced the element and the thermostat high limit switch and still not heat(steam). I need actually assistance with steps after replacing the two most obvious problem areas.

Obvious tips like 'check if you plugged it in'. May be useful for somebody who has no idea how the appliances work, but completely useless if you already went through the simple steps like 'check the filter and remove the debris'
