It truly was helpful to understand some things I hadn't quite clear about how lights work in a picture. I also try to be cautious with rim-lights unless they really come from a good light source, and bounce light must also be subtle depending of the proximity of the objects between them (it's like an opposite of Ambient Occlusion but for the lights bouncing about -- if the surface has a lot of luster, light can be bounced like twice sometimes, but I saw this while painting mechas and other machinery that has a lot of glossy and thus reflect light more). i really like the idea of putting yourself in the shoes of the light source to see what it hits. but now make a full in depth guide on rendering and how you should layer it because im struggling on that the most and i dont see any other videos that helps on it.
