If you are a beginner trader I highly recommend sticking to swing trading and only taking 2 or 3 trades a month.. You want to make a trading plan every single week. Identify the trades that you plan to take before you take them.. If you identify 20 possible entries than just pick the 2 or 3 with the best confluence and stick to trading that only.

People thinking about gains when first starting out usually fail at becoming an investor. The 2000$ lost is just a tuition fee, nothing to really bother worrying about in the long run. As it gives learning and information which in my book is worth exponentially more than having someone telling you a mistake you've not even made and learn 0 from.

In the open the mind is fresh and the focus is high, so I make good results most of the time. Later in the day, the brain is tired and focus is lost, and the emotional brain (the emotional brain is the one that must disappear in trading because it is the second enemy of the trader after fear is in control) becomes the controller. No need to trade after 11:00 if you are successful in the open. No need to lose

Same, after a certain time (depends on the market you are trading) the big whales leave and the algos take over that's when you start losing and when you go from green to red your mental capacity starts to take a hit and you blow accounts. I am learning to leave with my green and leave it at that.

I see a lot of people like that. It's very addicting to a lot of people. I always hated the market because my dad lost a his hole life savings when I was younger. He got back into it a couple years ago and lost 25k more . I started trading about a year ago and done pretty well. Eventually my dad listened to me and in one month .I got that 25k back. A lot of people speculate way to much and don't do little to any research. It's way easier to do a bad trade than a good one. Most people what to do something now and have a "all in" mentality . That's not investing , that's gambling.

The more trades u take per day, the more chances of a loss or 2 ...that's the odds beginners don't think of. Quit while ur ahead is crucial. N quit for the day if u lose a trade as well. Set parameters, cuz the chaotic market has none.

Dude!! This is me so bad. I'll put on a stupid ass entry and then instant drawback. I close the position and switch sides, just for it to go back the other way.. now I may lose 2or 3$ each times but after doing it 5 times, I'm down 10,15$.. (I have 100$ acct). I always regret it. Psychology is real bro. I'm not trading unless it's London or NY session.

I learned at what times the market usually moves on my prefered instrument. So I did this for the whole day and all sessions. If there is nothing during those times I try to close the charts and walk away. Unfortunately I lost 2 weeks of trading so I have to play a little bit of catch up. When I do not see movement or sentiment for movement and my setup has no power to develop. I close the pc. And check another session or call it a day.

Totally disagree. Morning is ripping and whipping. Traps everywhere and mid day levels tend to get hit without such hard pullbacks. I work full time and have side business and trade all day while working mobile out of a van. It helps me to watch markets and only take trades when stuff I’ve been waiting to happen happens. Then say 50% pullback and snap that trade off then long again when bounces off 50% pullback. Take profit before level is hit and let others buy or sell that crap. I front ran exits 2-3 points early today and that’s all it ever went trapping bulls. Nice head and shoulders too which whicked down on mes rapidly and set stop order before that level back perfect head and shoulders pattern. One 5min candle and you’d miss exit because it quickly came back up. Late day tends to squeeze late day players who think it’ll pull back at last candles of day. That’s a mistake retail traders exit positions at close and markets usually won’t pullback until after the close. I saw the mnq rippin around at 9:30pm ET today. Lol. Close the gap overnight and rip up for the last day of month into bullish 4th of July week. Maybe pullback Friday? But it’ll recover this week and be bullish again like history. Anyways trading later on takes different approach where I go contrarian setting sell orders at tops of market with couple point stop loss with reward of whole swing whatever the market offers. Morning you’d better get with the trend because don’t want to get left behind on a trend day. Range days will most always let you out of first candle buy but don’t even know if trend day until it’s too late. Scaling in or averaging in on trend days like Tuesday waiting for pullback blows accounts up. Only scale in once markers have established some range and channel waiting for breakout.
