Hi all the way from New Zealand. I have a Z3 with a hard top. Same issue you described. Removed the hard top, cleaned around the A pillar plug with turpentine, used a fine wire to make sure the drainage whole was not blocked and flushed it with turpentine. Lightly filled around the rubber plug (bung) with black windscreen sealant. Wearing rubber gloves to spread sealant round edges and surface. Nice tidy finish. Walla heavy rain no more leaks from down under NZ.

how did you fix window seal leak? I have leak in the center on the second joint looking from the wind shield. thanks

I just spent a few hours aligning the gasket joints until I got them sealed enough to be happy. I did have to replace one on the drivers side that was just so worn out it wouldn’t seal properly. These cars are getting up there at this point some rubbers are going bad unfortunately.

i have a leak on my e36. hope that'll work

Unfortunately I haven’t tested it on an e36 but they probably share the same design based on all of the other shared bits. If it works let me know I’d love to let others know as well!

How did the repair work....before your car was totalled......
@RLT2 жыл бұрын
The car never leaked after I did this repair... well it did a little after the window exploded in the door but you did say before it was totaled so. All jokes aside this fix will most likely solve any leaks you will have in that area. Thanks for watching!
