Love the video I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix with a sunroof and this saved me a lot of money, I thought I was going to have to get a bunch of weather stripping replaced however my drains were just clogged. You're a legend thanks for the in depth tutorial 👍

Thank you for this video. My 2006 Vibe is leaking in the exact same place, but I do not have a sunroof. Any thoughts on that? Could it be leaking through the roof racks somehow?

In my research of this issue it was often found to be the windshield leaking at the top, but I suppose it could be the racks.

Darn! That makes a lot of sense, I have an 04 with 278k that I bought from my gparents who bought it new. I had and thought I fixed the issue of the hose but after you saying the windshield I have noticed my windshield seal is not 100% anymore so I should go check that too!

I am just seeing this as I now own 2 vibes and both leak. One with sun/moon roof the other without. Both were leaking from roof racks and top of windshields. Also sun/moon roof seal leaking at both back corners. I just have some painters tape over the edges of my sunroof right now and took racks off and sealed all ports of entry and sealed top of windshields. Seems to be holding well so far. I would suggest a car cover or carport as any aftermarket sealant will not last the seasonal elements for too long. As sor sunroof on mine. I will be getting all new seals as I do not want to seal off and not be able to use it.

Mine used to do that, and I added a small glob of silicon caulk at the front edge of the rail where the A pillar joins the roof. Hasn't leaked since (at least 5 years).

Mine leaks and it doesn't have a sunroof exact same spot any suggestions

Could be windshield or even roof rack seals from my research

Yes, but it is one of many places vibes can leak. The other problem spots are the windshield top seal and roof rails.

@@striker1211 assuming the Toyota Matrix has the same windshield and roof rails leaks, do you have content on that in your channel?

What's the size of the hose clamp did you use?

I used a 1/4, it I'd recommend getting an assortment pack with how many times they've came in handy. Good luck on your repair.
