Question, Do all the internal hardware still work with this firmware? I know in the past things would break if you upgraded to a firmware not originaly build for this device. in perticular, does the LTE and GPS module still work. and does the SD card function as a expandable drive for android?

Of course! You only need to download the right firmware for your device and of your region. Otherwise, it can cause issue with cellular network
