thank you so much for the video, it helped me so much flashing from 6 to 7. The flash took a really long time, maybe because i was doing it remotely through a VPN connection. I did get at the end an error "Failed to communicate to the target device" and not a green box "Update complete" like you did. I was disappointed, come to find out it did flash firmware 7. Weird !!

I strongly suggest download the Release Note and pay attention to the system requirements, new features, known anomalies (sometimes with work around) etc. By doing this, you will have lesser chance of installation failure especially on feature changes, sometimes you will need to change the ladder also.

The only things you need to worry about is what firmware you are flashing and how stable it is along with making a drive backup so you can reload the drive parameters after the download unless ADC is on. No ladder logic changes because of firmware. Maybe ladder logic changes if you change a drive type. Like from Power flex 525 to Power flex 755 for example

And the second problem is that I accidentally updated the firmware on my CompactLogix l18er controller, namely 1769-L18ER-bb1b, and now the built-in program cannot work with the new firmware. And I also need to find firmware 20.0012 for it. Please help if van is not difficult, thanks in advance.

Secondly, compact logic will work with any version of power flex firmware, you problem might be your AOP which is an Add On Profile

Hello, I do not have access to the Rockwool Automatic website and I cannot download the firmware for my PowerFlex 525. I have built-in firmware 7.001 and I need 1.003 since my compact logistics controller cannot work with the new firmware.

All you have to do is to make an account with Rockwell Automation then you will have access to download the firmware

@@МаксимХромов-з8ы when going backwards with firmware, a lot of times you can change the firmware in the PLC. When offline with the drive inside of asset center you can open properties of the drive, then device definition and change it to the FW you need it to look for.
