TWRP bug: can not mount Micro SD Card, so you must copy twrp and Disable_Dm-Verity to internal storage. After installed TWRP you can root it or flashing custom rom. I installed custom rom and a gapps file when i tried to flash it, it didn't show on twrp however other files showing normally

no it does not erase your data but when you install twrp and do data reset it erases your data
