My user manual for 2010 CRV says never flat tow when shifting from R to N. It must be shifted from D to N or severe transmission damage may occur.

Been flat towing since 2010 this way. No problem from coast to coast and to Canada. No issues 🙏🏻. Always follow the directions for your specific vehicle.

u can look up a list of automatics that's have that system in them

Read your owner's manual for step by step instructions so you learn to do it correctly. You can only flat tow certain vehicles. CRVs are a very popular tow.

The owners manual of all honda crv says to follow a specific transmission process to tow the vehicle without transmission damage. Your process is incorrect according to honda.

Yes, as long as your car is flat towable. refer to owners manual for restrictions. Not all CRVs are flat towable.

Man change that oil! I was told to change it every 4k, its like 50-60 precent I think... it was by a honda mechanic,

Maybe the mechanic is trying to make you do more oil changes. Manufacture recommends changes oil at 15% that is why they turn on the service light and 15%. Maybe the mechanic wants to make more money off you and sell you more service. Its is true you can’t change your oil too often but where do you draw the line.

If your Honda has a cvt tans, it cannot be flat towed, this mean 2014 and older.

its up to 2015, 2014 is fine to tow
