How to Flat Tow a Jeep and tow a Motorcycle - RV Motorcycle Carrier

We have been traveling around the United States for a year while hauling our motorcycle and flat towing our Jeep. We have had no problems with this setup and have driving around 6,000 miles with this setup.
A versa-haul motorcycle rack would not have worked as they are only rated to tow 3,000lbs.
I also realized after the fact that this is a 10inch riser not a 12 inch.
The only change I would have liked, would for both receivers on the RV to be closer together. This would eliminate the need for the receiver to be welded onto of the extension piece underneath the bike rack. The piece coming directly out of the lower receiver could have just been a longer extension.

I would use beefier ratchet straps , just me I’m sure its stable but rather have more Ins. anyway nice system you had designed for tow

I used to but these straps are all rated for 600lbs and haven’t had any issues. These “hooks” curl more then my larger straps also which is why I like these better.

I've been thinking about mounting one on the front of the RV you think that would work?

Depends on your frame mounts up front and axle ratings. A lot of people do front mounted bikes on trucks!

How was it with the sharp angle of the tow bars to the jeep? Any issues..

We had 0 issues. I had I believe a 10 or 12 inch risers hitch.

Is your Rv a Diesel pusher? I find that alot of gas ones only has 5k towing ..your set up definetely is more than 5k

No it’s gas, and we had a custom hitch made up to support the extra 1k we would be towing. Our camper was underweight CCC so our GVW checked out. Regardless we disconnected going up large mountains passes as the motor didn’t have the power or would have wanted to overheat!

Did you weld the hitch ring on the bumper of the jeep as well?

The bumper came with the rings witch we attached the flat tow bars to.
