Dude, I'm actually doing it! Can't braid to save my life but I have two, albeit jacked-up, flat twists right now. Doesn't help that my hair is horribly uneven. But my fingers are, in a basic sense, understanding what needs to be done. The finger scooping to grab the next hair is probably the hardest for me but I'm committed to getting better! Thank you so much for this video!

Wait until your 4b hair goes gray...😭 The porosity changes (high porosity), and you have to fight your hair for a curl pattern. Twists are infinitely harder because gray hair literally reaches out to tangle. 🙃

Love this video! I’ve been having trouble finding videos that actually show the hand movements so I can learn these styles. My niece and nephew are biracial. I’ve always hated that my sister in law does not take the time to learn the hairstyles that are my niece and nephew’s history, their culture. I’ve been teaching them to love their hair and show them more varieties of styles. I would love a video on proper hydration of the hair! Since my niece and nephew now live with me I will be looking to learn everything I can about proper hair care for them. Thanks for the awesome video!

Will! I started using this new product called the Doux. I think pronounced "Do" and it has a lot of amazing stuff in it. This product has been out since the 90's apparently but I haven't heard of it until recently and sally's started selling it. My hair is very annoying when it comes to hair product. If it even works, my hair will get tired of it and start to get dry and shrivel up again so I have to change things up every couple months. I haven't had to do that with this stuff. I even went to bed one night and forgot my bonnet and I woke up....with my hair still bouncy and curly. No matted spots. Didn't dry out. Seriously look at this product and see what you think

Another tip to avoid puffy roots is to stretch the hair by putting it in a ponytail and tying it with a silk/satin scarf instead of a bonnet. If you don't have the length pull your hair taut across your head and secure with Bobby pins!
