Any time your paper gets wet and is allowed to dry unrestrained it will cockle. So I thought I'd share a handy process my printmaking professor taught me many years ago. This will remove the cockling from works on paper without disturbing the image. It works for prints and watercolors and I've seen it done to photographs although I haven't done it myself to photos.
