Note: I concur that the stand needs to be shortened with this current assembly. The sliders do add significant height to the whole "grinder-frame-slider-assemebly". Please keep this in mind if you're looking to use this method. Also the whole grinder assemebly could have been moved further to the "left" on the frame to make the horizontal position a little lower and a little more inline with the normal vertical height. Cheers yall!

CO2 is the way to go when it comes to starting. You could even get the flux core to not have to deal with bottles of gas. Watch some tutorials and start welding. It is not as hard as many think and even stick which is one of the hardest is not that hard when you get the hang of it. Sure my welds are uggly as shit but hey, they work so no complaints there.

Really?? You think those things have 1100#'s of pulling force. I have a lot of respect for you and your knives and with how cleverly you come up with work arounds but if you really believe those dinky things could put out 1100#'s of pulling force and rip those screws out of the wood I'm betting they would bend in a New York second. I know the manufacturers booklet of BS says they can put that out but I would like to see it. Remember I watched you do your straight leg lifts, you could bend them in half.
