Hi! how do I Aks say My comic book shop to don't ship your comic? I won an auction and I think I have good margin there, but when I go to check out, they right away ask for my address and ask me to choose a shipping method and that is it.

Yes great question. Put in your regular address, and then you pay for the order, and then at the end of the transaction there is a box for comments. Put DO NOT SHIP - PLACE BACK INTO CONSIGNMENT. The order will process and you will get your shipping refunded. The item will "ship" and it won't go anywhere. Then it will show up in inventory and you can place into consignment.

How do you deal with the taxes come IRS time?

You would keep track of what you were paid and declare it as income, and then keep track of what you paid and then claim that as expenses. The net difference would be the taxable amount. (I am NOT a tax accountant so each country might have different rules).

When you say pocket the difference after a sale, it goes back to store credit right? Or do you have a choice to cash out?

Yes great question - you can ask MyComicShop to pay you (via PayPal) or store credit. The downside to getting paid money is they charge a 3% fee (PayPal). So if you want to buy a big-ticket comic book, it is better to just accumulate store credit and then buy one expensive book.

If you purchase comic on auction and it takes a couple of months to resell it. Where is the comic book all this time? Do they hold it for you, until you request for it to be shipped?

Yes exactly - when you buy the book, you just specify "do not ship" and they will rescan it and put back into inventory. So you can buy a book in auction, and then resell it later, and it never leaves their facility!

Cool video thanks! This might be a dumb question but how do you get store credit? Do I need to send some of my comics in to get store credit? That's okay but they don't just give you store credit or do they?

Yes that is a good credit - If you sell a comic book, they will either pay you in cash (like to your PayPal) or just give you store credit. So if you send in some books and start selling them, they will just stick the money in a credit account and you can buy stuff instead of paying the 3% fee.

Where is the relist into inventory option once the book you are purchasing is in your cart?

Yes this happens once in a while (the item shows as "purchased") - it stays for about a week and then if they never wind up actually purchasing it, My Comic Shop puts it back into inventory (and my understanding is they issue a warning or a ban on the customer). It is annoying but it's pretty rare.
