This is a great informative video. I did the brake fluid change on my F11 this morning and and FYI to all, there is a screw which holds the electronic parking brake wiring in place, I couldn’t get the wrench in there without removing this out of the way.

I have never bled the brake fluid in all my cars for the past 30 years...I have taken out the fluid though like you did in the beginning and then simply topped the fluid back up. I do this every 3-4 months. I’m pretty sure you are doing it the correct way. So far so good for me 🙏🏻

@@NewRoad Ty for posting...gave me the confidence to at least change out some of the fluid out. Stealership is too costly and you have to make time to drop it off and then the waiting game begins till they complete the job.

@@juliocs5483 your not wrong I just purchased a 2011 535i I ran all codes before buying nothing was pulling up then I just read that the vehicle can hide codes up to 50 to 100 miles so I took it to bmw for an assessment to make sure. Day two after picking up from the 12 hour detail from the dealership the next day. I noticed the passenger side doesn’t immediately heat up like the drivers it blows cold air in the winter Im worried bc it could mess up the passenger windshield. The trunk is flying open. And the driver headlight was flashing when the turned the car off and walked away. Took it to Tulsa BMW and it’s day four of having the car. BMW had it for 2 days. They are holding my car for another 2 days at least for the assessment bc they can’t figure out the problem with hot air on the car. They just told me though I need to replace my headlights quoted me over 3,000 for that. And trunk for $300 brake fluid $145 cabin air filter & spark plugs don’t know yet😅 I’m just so overwhelmed and upset!! I bought the car at night and they were in a hurry. I over payed for the vehicle had it listed on there site for almost 8,000 sold it to me for 8,589 with $600 fees and taxes for 9,200. I’m in a bind. I’m 20 years old turning 21 in 2 days. And I have no experience with vehicles. The most I’ve done is change headlight bulbs and tag lights on my Hyundai sonata. Do you think I should return the vehicle or sell it?

@@daniellekelly2634 I personally would not have bought an older luxury car...I bought my 2018 330i with about 50k miles...it is in great condition and I try to only use it on the weekends to try and get some decent money back when i sale it. For the money you spent I would have tried to get a Honda or Toyota. They seem to be easier to work on and parts arent as expensive. As far as returning it, only you can decide. If BMW dealership is having problems figuring out what's wrong with it, I would return it because if you sell it, you will lose some money. Good luck!

@NewRoad
@NewRoad 7 күн бұрын
You can find all BMW How-To videos here - kzbin.info/aero/PLLoEAO8f1zNxxzzyHXbW45J6jmZqEdhai As for the flushing brake fluid, you just need to follow service schedule for brake fluid - you don't need to do it when you are changing pads or rotors. However, when you change caliper it is highly recommended to flush the whole fluid rather than just bleed.
