Just took this kite out this afternoon for the first time. Even 11 years on, it's still a classic. So incredibly stable, regardless of wind speed or gusts. I have more than half a dozen foil kites and this is the first one I've been able to consistently park anywhere in the window. Cannot wait to try it next time harnessed in and on my landboard! I don't know what the big zipper is for, but I definitely love the outer compartment to put my handles/lines (I don't leave them attached)!

Nice video. Looks like a quality kite. You have included good information. It might be worth mentioning to 1st time flyers that when the stakes are used to keep the kite on the ground, the kite MUST be positioned with itsleading edge up. If the kite is on the ground with leading edge down against the ground, staking with brake lines taught could result in the kite's launching itself trailing edge first.

Hi, I have a similar kite. But I have 3 major problems. 1. The kite keeps on turning clockwise. A lot!! 2. The left edge of the kite keeps on folding in. 3. The kite struggles to get/stay airborn. Would you please assist?

Renier, #1 could be a few things. I have a similar problem with my HQ Rush 350 Pro (only it likes to go counter clockwise)! After putting it on a different bar, I think the control lines just need to be adjusted to be equal length. For #2, you might want to take a close look at the bridles for that part that keeps folding in. That happened to me earlier this week, and I realized (after much annoyance) after landing it and inspecting that the bridles were slightly twisted. Finally, on #3 are you flying in sufficient wind? Are you using a control bar or handles? The first time I used handles, I tried to launch it like you would a control bar, and the kite didn't go anywhere. I was very frustrated until I realized (just like this video explains) you really just want to pull on the top (control) lines and completely lay off the brake lines. As soon as I did that, voila! The kite took off like a charm.

@@benbhand thank you very much. I found out that the problem was that the one main line was stretched more that the other. By about 6 inches or 15 cm. I shortened it and it worked perfectly!

@@renierjoubert9176 Of course. That's great, Renier. That's quite a bit of difference lol! Yes, I think I just need to do that with my Rush 350 lines. If you're on Facebook and ever have any other questions, or even so that you can help out other kiters, feel free to add yourself to Southwest Power Kite & Traction Kiting Club group. Despite the name, we have quite a few European members (more than U.S. in fact lol)!
