76 years old and just making the giant leap into fpv from RC model helicopters . Easy line of sight. but wow , FPV is doing my head in .Simulators are a version of LOS.. and looking at the screen is not like looking through the goggles . the Sim should be played through the goggles to give a more realistic feel to the practicing . good work really helpful video . Be brave .

Thank you for putting together this series. Did you know your link on how to install the download is a dead end link? It would be great to practice on Liftoff. Is there a tutorial on how to load this stuff onto liftoff?

Loving these videos. I can't get my AT-9 to work with my PC though so struggling to practice with Lift-off ans an Xbox controller doesn't really replicate a proper remote.

I've been a fan for a while and was wondering where to buy one of the drones and do you need a lisence
@GoochiFPV9 жыл бұрын
+leo kearney You can but them from almost anywhere! Try looking on some local forums or on Facebook! Shouldn't need a licence, you don't in Europe/USA. In the USA you need to be registered as a pilot thou.

Hello Jack. I just got my racing drone and when I was flying it it was automatically stabilising, I wanted to know how to turn off the stabiliser so I can do flips. Thanks!

I bail is you have to reprogram the ESC's

Hello, I've got my camera angle set to around 40 degrees but i feel like I still need to pitch forward more than that to get the quad to gather speed, which in turn means I'm starring at the ground half of the time whilst flying. Any suggestions or tips to help?

how do you display the quad and your throttle sticks in real time?
@Cias139 жыл бұрын
Hey man, great videos. i'm certainly a newbie, so would you mind telling me what program you used to record your stick movements like that? Thanks.
@diy4dummies1789 жыл бұрын
+Cias13 I'm pretty sure its built into the firmware on his flight controller: "clean flight". It records entire flight logs onto the micro sd which you can put in the board. That is also how he gets the throttle levels of each individual motor on the screen like that aswell
@FPVAcademy9 жыл бұрын
+Cias13 Hey man, +DIY4Dummies is spot on. I use a Blackbox Data Recorder.

+Jack FPV Hey, Im having a lot of problems getting my taranis to work with my mac, should you plug it in via the port at the back for master/slave and setup the config as slave so it can send everything to the computers headphone port. So far I have only tried doing it via the microusb and that has failed dismally. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
@FPVAcademy9 жыл бұрын

Which camera angle do you use? :) the fpv cam!
@FPVAcademy8 жыл бұрын
About 30 degrees :)
@jackalopalen8 жыл бұрын
correction: camera angle is directly proportional to quad speed WHEN KEEPING HORIZON CENTERED. I could point my camera straight down, but if I'm looking at the ground, I'm staying put. (subtle correction, I know, but it grated against my ears whenever you said they are directly proportional, period)
@FPVAcademy8 жыл бұрын
Hahaa, only seeing this now. Totally correct. Sorry about that ;)
