It hasn't been patched, but sometimes the point in which you dismount makes Torrent spawn normally even if you have to use a flask. The inconsistency may have to do with how level the ground is that you're standing on, but I'm not 100% sure.

This is not patched. Still works on PS5. Don’t take too long to resummon. If you do both summons quickly, You will then have the flying glitch.

I agree. I had done this over and over to make the glitch run but no luck. Tried facing an elevation when calling Torrent but no suck luck. You are right about 1 of 2 things. I had gotten so good at jumping sideways I can do it with my eyes closed. Done It like 25 times in in 10 minutes, that's how good i was at jumping off when Torrent went over. Fyi, If you are an animal lover, I don't concider Torrent dying like previously, he just gets sent back to wherever he Is from. Anyway, bottom line, doing it over and over and failing I noticed your comment looking for advice about why i wasn't working. I am on pc and hitting 7 buttons in half a second is a no go. So this currently my only option except for using a script which I would rather not. So taking your advice, when i jumped sideways, immediately called for Torrent and It worked like a charm. But also when I did it 20 more times just to see if It was a fluke, I noticed It didn't work sometimes and that's when I noticed that Torrent was already mostly off the cliff leading to my conclusion that It is related to other ways of flying torrent. So I know have tested this over 40 times but Only took me like 20 minutes. Once you get the jumping down pat It's a cake walk. Out of the twenty, only 30 worked and my guess Is I jumped off too soon even though poor torrent went over. Gonna put this now in main comment section and also give you credit for that great insight. Thanks a bunch bro, you'll save alot of people grief. Fyi, you can do this anywhere there is some kind of outcropping on the side similar to this vid as long as Torrent fazes out and you can jump off safely. It is really easy once you get the hang of it. It's immediate camera angle to the right or left opposite to wherever direction are heading! Cheers, Mate!!

If I were trying to get to the Moonlight Altar, for example, the change in elevation would be too great to try and get down from the glitch location in Altus Plateau.

@@artanomia seems like you can take the grand lift of Dectus with it still active made it to moonlight altar fought Alecto. don't have to do Ranni quest to get best summon. no fast travel though

NOTE TO ANYONE WATCHING THIS VIDEO: You CANNOT do this just anywhere you want, because the high spot in question has to "FORCE" the horse to register as dead. Found this out through trial and error, and MANY MANY MANY successful attempts to get Torrent to go over the edge in many other places, but he didn't die. The spot that this guy is showing you in the video just happens to be one of those spots where the program kills off the horse. How can YOU find out if you have a proper spot? Trial and error, I guess -meaning you deliberately go over a cliff with the horse and watch the potion indicator to see if it changes like it does when Torrent gets killed by an enemy -IF you can't get to the precise spot shown in the video.

use Outer Wall BAttlegrounds grace. Head east to the cliff, then turn right - go up the broken stairs. Then work your way back to the left and down toward the little lake at the bottom of the castle. Have to watch out for the giants with the bow and arrows of doom!

@@redeyezz626 I think it's random. I tried 5 times in total and it worked once. No idea why. I gave up and just got cheat engine to no clip to the same place. I can't play in online thanks to my shit internet, it won't even connect to it even tho steam connect just fine so I can't do the damn fucking quest for an easy warp and skip to mohgwyn palace. And I want items from there, I see no reason why my single player game should have fucking multiplayer locked content. I'm so angry and resentful rn that I'm just gonna no clip there, fuck this shit and fuck the person that made this multiplayer locked content call.

I managed to do it once in Liurnia but haven't been able to duplicate it. Which is just as well because I wasn't able to find a way up to Atlus Plateau from there. All of the higher mountain areas by the lift are fake so you fly through them rather than gaining altitude. Spent a couple hours trying to find various ways to get higher, but was never able to get all the way up. It's fine tho, at my current level I can beat the boss blocking the way I just didn't want to just yet.
