@RattlesnakeAviation2 күн бұрын
Is it giving you runways and SIDs that don't exist or just ones that don't make sense relative to the wind?

@RattlesnakeAviation its giving me onex that dont make sense
@RattlesnakeAviation2 күн бұрын
Check that you're on live weather and that the runway you're being cleared to is the same as the one mentioned in the ATIS. If you're on live weather, you can check if the runway is the same or at least similar to the one being used on FlightRadar24. If its not similar, try seeing if the issue persists at other airports. In either case, if the procedure doesn't match the real world procedure then you can submit a ticket and report it as a bug on the BATC Discord server and it will be investigated and likely be fixed in the next update.

Hello, stupid question, do you need a microphone wired to your PC for that? Thank you
@RattlesnakeAviation23 күн бұрын
It's advisable to have a microphone connected but if you have on built in as you might with a laptop then that could work too.

Hi, not sure if you mentioned it in the video but how do you speak to atc without having the pop up on your screen?
@RattlesnakeAviation4 ай бұрын
You can minimise the window with the horizontal straight line in the top right hand corner. Then you can just hold your push to talk button (set in the settings page) and talk as you would with the window open.

Can you do a tutorial on vectors approach? I’m confused when it gives me the final heading but I’m still not lined up. Should I report established and just go direct to the waypoint to capture the ILS or?
@RattlesnakeAviation5 ай бұрын
I'll make that for my next video. Whenever I've been given vectors is usually been really good at getting me established on final so they'll give me an intercept for the ILS and then I can just do a normal ILS approach. If you get an intercept but don't get perfectly lined up they usually tell you that you're cleared for the ILS once established or something similar. If you're not even given an intercept, I think that would be a bug so you should just go straight to a waypoint and continue the approach as normal having reported you're established once you get to the waypoint.

@@RattlesnakeAviation thanks for the reply, I usually get told “fly heading xxx maintain 3000 until established on localizer” and no more instructions. I’ll definitely be more attentive to the phraseology from now on. An example that comes to mind was when it vectored me into rw22L at EKCH where the final approach corse is 217, but it made me fly I’d say good 10-15 degrees askew? I guess then my question also becomes what exactly does established mean? Is it when the diamonds are perfectly aligned or can it be before as well. Thanks for the help, your video is very informative!

I'm not a real pilot but as I understand it, it's when you turn to face the runway and you're fully lined up with the localiser but I don't think you have to be at the perfect altitude with the glideslope captured. If you did, I don't think it would really matters to much in Beyond ATC but obviously do more research if you ever take any of this into the real world.
@thelastword32702 ай бұрын
@@RattlesnakeAviation I am a real pilot. If the instruction is to "Report established", the report should be made once the localizer indicator is centered. If the airplane is left or right of the localizer, it's not "established".

Hi Are you able to fly an RNAV approach or change approaches using BATC?
@RattlesnakeAviation5 ай бұрын
As far as I'm aware it'll do whatever approach it deems is more appropriate but I don't think you can request a different one. I might be wrong though, sorry I can't be more help. If you have it already purchased you can get to that phase of flight and look in the window to see if there's an option for it and if not, you can ask on the discord server where there's bound to be someone that knows.

I’m curious what editing software do you use?
@RattlesnakeAviation5 ай бұрын
I've been using the free version of Davinci Resolve for the past few videos and I'm slowly getting used to it. Before that, I used filmora.

It could be a problem with you computer's speech recognition. Make sure that you have the "English (United States)" language installed in your computer's settings then try to go through the speech recognition wizard that comes up when you search for the app "Windows Speech Recognition". For it to get a good idea of what you sound like, its best to run through it about three times. If that doesn't work, try filing a support ticket in the Beyond ATC discord channel then other users and the developers will probably have seen it before and be able to help.

Do Flight Levels below 18000 ft exist in Europe?
@RattlesnakeAviation5 ай бұрын
Yes, it varies by country and sometimes the controller can override it but in the UK it's usually 5,000 or 6,000 feet.

@RattlesnakeAviation5 ай бұрын
I know and I'm sorry, I only realised when I was editing it. I even reduced the volume of the ATC while I was editing so it wasn't so bad. I've changed my audio settings so it'll be better next time.

Good attempt at a tutorial but you speak too quickly and make the tutorial more like a video of your flight than an actual tutorial.

C’mon! Speak faster! More faster!!! And you gonna have more subscribers!
@thelastword32702 ай бұрын
Meh - it's not a race. The objective is to COMMUNICATE. In aviation, miscommunication between pilots and ATC can have really bad endings. I often hear inexperienced pilots at a nearby uncontrolled airport making traffic pattern position announcements on Unicom at such a rapidfire rate they're nearly unintelligible, supposedly to show how "cool" they are. That's very poor technique - others need to know where they are, not how fast they can speak.
