I've been following several sailing channels for some time. I'm frustrated sailor who left it too late in life to embark on the adventure you are enjoying. I just wanted to comment on how impressed I am with your courage and competence. I'm a bit weary of the cheesecake fluff of so many of the other channels. Yours is genuine and entertaining account of your adventure. Thanks for keeping it real

@@solosailingboatlife7203 how did he manage chronic pain? I already have a bad back, knee, ankle, hip, shoulder, and elbows... I can still exert myself but I have to account for a couple days recovery time and potentially more damage...

He just lived with it . Dad broke his back when he was 48 and took several years to recover but was always in some pain . He had broken his hip 3 times once on the boat while doing some maintance . Push on through . My back is a nightmare both knees are shot from roofing . That is what neoprene is for . It does help a lot.

My dad was a Marine stationed in the South Pacific during WWII. He and his friends would eat eel. The military supplied some form a butter product they would cook them in after cleaning them. He said they were very good and much better than the military food.

I picked up randomly one of your episodes on KZbin and have been "binging" for a week from the start of your posts, have just caught up and loving them.
