Get more from your FFB wheelbase by getting your baseline settings right. Once you get these right, you can play around and fine tune any other settings to your personal preference.
The methodology I've employed covers any wheelbase, on any sim, on any platform.
I'll run through my settings on Assetto Corsa Competizione and in Simagic Simpro Manager (Beta) on my Simagic M10 wheelbase.

Nice simple video. I suggest trying the steer lock trick where you set the in-game steer lock to zero and only set the correct lock from SimPro Manager. So 480 degrees for the 488. This almost completely reduces steering latency and will feel very direct. As a bonus you don’t have to set the steering locks per car twice, just set from SimPro when you switch cars. I’m also on the M10, SimPro v1.3b

Excellent ffb settings! Much more detail vs what I had. The only thing I changed was the simagic software gain to 100% and left the game at 75%. Thank you!

Just today I adjusted my FFB on my Simagic Alpha, and I did it the reverse of what you suggested here. I had the base set at 100% and tried eliminating the clipping in ACC, but it wouldn't work no matter how low I brought down the gain.. So I brought down the total force in Simagic Pro to 80%, and then was able to finally find a sweet spot adjusting the gain in ACC. For me, it is 80% in-game. I still allow for a bit of clipping, but am willing to accept it for the sake of the steering wheel feel, so it's a compromise.

Glad you got it dialed in! Nothing beats a well calibrated force feedback. So much so that I find myself resisting upgrading Simpro to a newer version because I don’t want to mess up my settings!

Yup! I've done a Race Manager settings video but am planning on doing an update video for Simpro settings on AC soon as well! Enjoy your Alpha!

Nice to see someone else on Simagic too! I find the standard profiles in Simpro Manager do a decent job of a baseline setting. I don't have DR2 or WRC, but for AC, the FFB is a bit tricky due to so many variables between Content Shaders Patch, AC and SImpro! For AC, Iswitch off all the "FFB Tweaks" in Custom Shaders Patch and run the standard SImagic profile and just adjust the FFB strength. I find that feels good to me but feel free to explore with the other options!
