Well, it’s the same situation like the Dual Monarchy. English nation with a French king conquers France, so their king can sideline them, vs Czech nation with a German king conquers Germany, so their king can sideline them.

one important thing to note: when bohemia rebels all of your troops that are recruited from bohemian provinces will rebel with them which combined with their mobilization can make them dangerous. My advice is to delete all your bohemian troops after moving the capital to frankfurt and only start hiring them if you run out germans to recruit or once you crush the revolt. If you do hire them before they revolt make sure you only hire them as artillery that way they get wiped pretty much immediately when they rebel. Also if you took land from burgundy or scandinavia they might declare on you for their cores so remember to keep a few armies on the border and ally the dual monarchy or you might have to fight a death war

DoD should seriously start focusing on updating their bigger tags, DM qnd Burgundy feel so boring to play. And countrys like the HRE and Elbians that have little amount of late desitions are kinda meh, opefully they get love eventually!

@@arisaka233 Personally I prefer normal DoD. Fan fork has its merits like in Japan but they completely railroaded Arcadia. Literally every game as the Belgians plays out the same. On top of that you don't even get to annex Vinland when you form Arcadia because fan fork creator messed with the canon so that its only a plantagenia-belgium thing, which is really stupid imo. I also don't see why they had to change China and Russia. A lot of fan fork is a waiting around for an event to happen so that you can actually progress through the intended path. Also in a lot of nations theres a huge oversaturation of flavor in earlygame but nothing in lategame. Like the Incas, you can basically conquer South America by 1855 so the only thing you can do is mess around in Asia and Africa, and you don't even get the scramble cb anyway so you barely get anything

There is also the decision for Bohemia to ally DM after Aragon drops out of GP, and having them as an ally really helps in the war with Scandi and Burgundy

i once fought bohemia when new to the mod lest say that having your bohemian brigades revolt against you was a surprise and since i am practically half noob it was a very cool civil war. then burgundy and scandinavia came back for revenge and i prety much had to give back the rhine and schezlig cause i was broke.

From my own experience forming HRE, instead of taking land directly from Scandi, liberate Holstein. In the 2nd war, liberate Rheinland from Burgundy. If you separate peace Burgundy in the 1st war, you can liberate Rheinland in the 1st war too.

Can you do a guide for the German Empire? It is one of the hardest formable in the game, if not the hardest. Taiping and Qing have some reputation for being hard but using your brain. You can easily defeat the other nation and form china. India is an even harder challenge but the German empire seems almost impossible due to 3 sphere lords of Scandinavia, Burgundy, Bohemia being Great powers.

@@thegreatchipman yes, so what happens is you get the tag of the German Provisional Government or something like that. You get events about what sort of republic you want to be which passes reforms accordingly and then you have an event where Bohemia secedes as a kingdom under the previous emperor. Then you tag switch to Germany.

You can beat up Hungary before if your good and get some serious pops if you take Slovakia or take some German pops in the east. Hanover also can be sphered you can draw in Scandinavians into plains and cut them off with troops moving through Hanover. It's a good way to use up infamy for the time you'll be fighting infamy free.

Ok so I left a comment but it seems it got deleted. I was basically just wondering your opinion on GFM vs ccHFM. I've been using the latter cos this channel got me into Vic, but I see everyone recommending GFM. GFM looks good and more regularly updated, but I've also heard others say it's too event driven, so idk.

This is what remember wrting to your reply. GFM is good if you want to play major tags and do fun formables and decisions. GFM runs a lot slower than ccHFM by the late game which is something to consider if your computer isnt great. I personally think GFM is too easy for expanding, I would rather have challenge. ccHFM almost never crashes for me and it runs faster which is why i mainly use it for my videos.

Doesn't lowering military spending cripple you in the long term? Your mil pops barely grow because you don't pay them salaries. I think just not buying military equipment is a better idea

I played as the USA and was stuck with the democrats. Because their military policy is anti military I was forced to only use 50% military spending. As a consequence of such low spending my army stagnated at around ~120 brigades making me remarkably weak for a country that big. Not paying your army is terrible, only do that if absolutely necessary.

I didnt really go over my budget after the first war, but one of the first things I did was fully fund my military spending. I only lowered it for the first few years so I could have a large amount of money incase the war lasted longer than expected.

I did it by conquering minor asiatic nations to the south, Crimea, Sibir, Kazan etc. Once your a GP sphere Novgorod. Scandinavia offered me an alliance early. I then picked pieces off of the PLC over a twenty year or so period.
