I just did my first fragging 2 days ago. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Don't have any zoanthids, just softies. Still a newbie to reefing but learning a lot from your channel. Been watching all your old videos.

I have started placing spare frag plugs next to colonies that i really like or ones growing fast and letting them spread naturally making it very easy for me. when fragging i was always worried about cutting a zoa but when cutting the stem off the frag pug of overgrown green goblins zoas to glue in place i cut two zoas in half that where on the stem of the plug and i was amazed to see they grew back and fully open in about a week. i now have a second colony of them.

I would LOVE more videos like this showing how to frag out of a *display tank*. Most fragging videos are done out of frag tanks where everything is already on a plug or disc and just comes out. Most of us in the hobby are likely just working out of our display tanks that are getting overgrown. :)

if you look back on their videos of the Fragabox display tank March does fragging on overgrown corals
@kernalbert4939 Жыл бұрын
You have to have "future sight" with reefs and plan on how you intend to break up the coral. Place plugs and rocks in such a way so as when the colony spreads it's easier to frag them naturally as you take apart the rockwork or remove and replace a plug.

Oh no way! I did not know you could clip a Zoa to frag it if needed. This is great information to know! Thanks!

Can the polytoxin go airborne? I’ve read an article it went airborne and made a whole family in the house go to the hospital! Not sure how true it is though hoping you may have some insight on that. I love Zoas but don’t really want anything in the house that may kill us. 😂

I'm too afraid of letting them grow on rocks because of how difficult it looks to get them off. I always keep them on disc's so I can pull it out and frag off of that. Doesn't look as nice in the tank but makes up for it when it's time to cut. Great vid March 👍

Hi am new to the saltwater hobby. I’ve had my tank open running for about two months now. I have everything set up and cut my fish in the sand but have no cuddles yet because the shops down here where I am don’t really have good Coral in the UK Liverpool. Anybody know where I can get good Coral from

We do not, shipping to UK is about 60pounds. If you bundle with friends its only a about 10pounds per aquarium. I'll talk to my friend Paul at Advanced aquarium consultancy to see if he can get them. Alternatively call him up, tell him March from Fragbox said to get his new aquarium line in !
