i know this is old, but you can take your shadow box to the framing counter at your craft store and they can cut a matte to fit (goes on top of jersey or border, right under the glass). This usually costs around $30 but it makes it look even more pro.

So, first every other week frames are 50% off at Hobby Lobby. Anytime they do "custom work" such as framing a jersey, it is 50% off. It costs around $30-40 for them to fir the jersey into the box.
