4:50 Anyone else notice that he put it in the frame upside down This is why you write "Top" on the back of the puzzle so you know why way to orientate it when putting it into the frame. And sliding it off the backing board into the frame instead of picking it up also helps to keep it together

@lee-annebarrett366 Жыл бұрын
Its much easier than you think. I slide sheets of baking paper under the puzzle carefully. Squirted the puzzle glue in small sections, you can spread it with brush, but l used my plastic dough cutter from the kitchen to quickly spread the glue making sure it was betweeh each puzzle piece. Working all the way down the puzzle adding glue as l went. Left it for 20 minutes then turned it over carefully and did the same on the back, waiting 20 minutes again till it was dry and repeated it again on the front, making sure the baking paper was under the puzzle so the glue didnt go on my table.

Two of my Melbourne Puzzle frames have just arrived, The frames are excellent quality, well worth the cost, the delivery time-frame and packaging were also excellent. (I will start the puzzles next week now that I have the backing board). I will order the frames for the two new puzzles shortly. This video is excellent, you left no questions unanswered and made it look easy enough for even me to fit. I had planned to either glueing or calling you or Chris Cincotta (Melbourne I love you jigsaw puzzles), but you have taken care of everything with the link to this video in the box with the frames. I am very happy with everything including the puzzles. I will be using your services for all my framing needs in the future. Thank you, regards Shona.

Hello. I've watched other tutorials and some people fills the front of the puzzle with special glue for puzzles. What do you think about that? Is it needed? Will that glue protect the puzzle or on the contrary it will spoil it?

He did a nice job, but did anybody notice that at the end, he actually framed the puzzle upside down? The white wire hanger used to hang the frame is now on the bottom instead of the top. When he flipped the framed puzzle at the very end, is where you catch it.

Framer's tape! I had never heard of that before, but I've also never done this before! 😊 I found a "puzzle frame" online but not impressed as it doesn't have glass and I had already taped my puzzle and then saw the frame directions wants me to glue the puzzle! Ha. And it only says to glue the edges and corners, hmmm I don't think that would work but who knows. I'll have to wait and get a real frame. Maybe I'll keep this puzzle frame for my next puzzle. Lol.
@glennvardy34064 ай бұрын
Thankyou for your feedback. Another good thing about the glass is that it protects the surface of the puzzle. Most puzzles are a printed surface and should be protected. Good luck with your next puzzle.

@Mordred143942 жыл бұрын
I wonder if there's a way to frame a reversible puzzle...
@MolloRelax2 жыл бұрын
You will have to use 2 pieces of glass of equal size for that, with the puzzle in the middle. So instead of applying many strips of tape all over the back of the puzzle;..as shown in the video...I would just place another piece of cardboard over the puzzle... and instead of lifting the puzzle as shown; I would just carefully slide the puzzle off the table onto the receiving frame ,which you would have positioned at the same height as the puzzle... (the thickness of the lip...inside the frame should not be a major concern). as new puzzles have a good rigidity and should not come apart when the edge of it drops into the frame. ( If not comfortable with this procedure; you can put a long shoelace on the inside edge of the frame , where the puzzle will be dropping from...to ease the transition ....just make sure there is an inch of the shoelace going over the inside edge of the frame ...for easy removal...once everything is in place. Once the puzzle has been transferred into the frame; carefully pull the shoelace out from under the puzzle. From there ,just add the other sheet of glass over it and reposition the metal tabs, to secure it in place. You will need a good frame cable support for the added weight of the second sheet of glass.

But i don't have an assembly board 😢
@eriksatterfield47552 жыл бұрын
You didn't show what it is that's holding your puzzle together before you took the backing board off of the frame and onto the puzzle. You said it was like a sandwich assembly something on the bottom of the puzzle, the puzzle in the middle, and the backing board on top.
@MolloRelax2 жыл бұрын
All the strips of tape he put onto the backside of the puzzle is what is holding it together.
@framesnow2 жыл бұрын
Hi Erik, Nothing will be keeping the puzzle together before you flip it. We recommend building your puzzle on an assembly board or any strong material such as thick cardboard or MDF. If you have already built your puzzle and didn’t use an assembly board underneath, you can gently slide one under the puzzle so you can flip it. Once your puzzle is on an assembly board, place the picture frame backing board on top of the puzzle and squeeze the two boards together while turning it over to reveal the underside of the puzzle.
