Yes I generally freeze them in a clump but was in m&s yesterday and bought some they were all separate and decided to do this when my berries from the allotment are ripe so thank you for the tips.

Putting them on parchment paper allows me to dob 2 layers per tray

if i were to use them for jam after i froze them , would i need to thaw them first

I would think you would want to thaw them at least a little bit for measurement purposes. If they were frozen hard vs soft I think they would take up more room in the measuring cup.

Yes. Especially if they have had pesticides applied.
