Thanks for information. Put some up already. Please tell me where you got them Beautiful Canisters? I love them.
@tntfarm5417 Жыл бұрын
You are very welcome. My canisters are Pfaltzgraff pattern Brown Stone. They have been discontinued, but you can still find sets on Ebay. I replace a lot of my broken pieces this way. With a family of six it happens!

Can u use sugar substitutes like Swerve instead of real sugar?
@tntfarm54172 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did last year for the first time. I use the Trim Healthy Mama brand as well as Swerve. I did not try Monk Fruit, Pyure or Allulose. The granular does not dissolve as well as real sugar, so you might want to try the powdered form. They tasted great to me, and my family did not seem to mind.

Can you do this method with apricots??
@tntfarm5417 Жыл бұрын
I am not sure; I have never tried apricots. But I don't see why you couldn't. I have tried pears this way and did not succeed. I feel the pears need the canning method to give the best results. I would try a small batch first with your apricots and then test the results after freezing. That way you are not wasting your time and money. This is what I did with the pears and so glad I did, or I would have been very disappointed! Sorry, this is late in reply.

When did you add the preservative and how much ?
@tifanyglasco22363 жыл бұрын
I don't use any preservative. The sugar creates a "juice" that helps give a coating to prevent freezer burn. Thanks for watching!
@debh3947 Жыл бұрын
why are you putting sugar on sweet peaches? i use fruit fresh but not sugar
@tntfarm5417 Жыл бұрын
We put the sugar on to help release the juices and it gives a nice texture after freezing. My kids will clean the bottom of their bowls to get all the juice! We do not live in a very populated area and the fruit that comes on the truck to us is not always ripe or sweet. If you could pick your own boxes out and get the best fruit that would be great. Sometimes they are not very sweet at all! This year I left the peaches to ripen over a week and had to put them up because they were getting soft. They still did not sweeten up! I have used fruit fresh as well, but this is the way my family likes them. Hope this answers any questions, happy peach freezing time! : )

Freeze Peach is hated so much nowadays. Especially by college campus liberals.
