Thank you so much for this video. My aunt would make this for our family picnics and I’m telling you it is delicious. She gave me the recipe but I didn’t write it down, but I remember it was a few ingredients. When I saw this and it bought it back to mind. You see my aunt died last month and as we were remembering her we remembered that corn. Thank you once again for the video.

Seeing this one day too late. I did all of ours yesterday. Debated putting some butter in, but decided to do that when we get ready to cook and serve it. I like your bottomless drink cup idea.

@@afrugalhomestead Well, on another(final) trip through the corn patch, my DH brought in another bucket of ears! After picking through and sorting out the duds (as happens at the end of the season) I had enough for 1/2 recipe. I have it cooling now and couldn’t resist tasting a spoonful. It IS the best. 🎉 I’ll be saving this methodology for another crop.

For a faster method of cutting the corn off of the cob. Use mandolin. I think that it is faster than cutting it. Just get a safety glove.

You only put 12 cups of corn in that fish

I've been told that. Sometimes counting and talking throws things off a bit. Luckily this is a forgiving recipe and the corn tasted great with the mistake.

You miss counted when putting the corn in the cooking pot, you actually put 12 cups, not 13.

Doesn’t matter, the fact is she shows us how to do it. I counted 13. She said about that many. We all make mistakes .😢

Whoops! No worries though. As long as you are close to that 13 cups. I've done 12 and I've done 14 before because I had leftover corn. You just want a good ratio of corn to the delicious butter mixture.
